I have received a few messages recently enquiring about ZoomBugs postnatal classes, especially now we move to the new year.
This is just a post to advise that currently my postnatal fitness classes are on hold in Shrewsbury due to a change in jobs last year.
While I hope that settles a bit, I hope to set up classes later in the year but will keep you posted!
For now, keep active and have a lovely year 🙂

Week six now done and dusted for all the ladies and babies at the first Shrewsbury ZoomBugs block of classes!
Participants got a lucky dip to choose from today, covering all the aspects we have worked through over the last six weeks….i think they enjoyed it 😉
I’m now looking planning for a September block-are you interested in coming along?
Message me ASAP so I can get an idea of numbers and go from there 🙂

Excellent, excellent core work this morning!
Lots of floor work for Mums and interacting with baby at the same time 🙂
Core work is essential for all functional movement as baby grows so learning the foundations was great this morning 💪🏼
Classes are very much a chance for you to have some ‘you’ exercising but showing you that this can be done around the hard work of parenting too….sharing the fun with your little one 🥰

Getting some time, even if it’s ten minutes, twenty minutes, any minutes to strengthen your mind and mental health…..is always worth it!
I have been slacking on my strength training recently and I feel it in every way-daily tasks, mental wellbeing, and in running so getting to the gym twice this week has felt like a gradual return to a normality that I enjoy!
Zoombugs classes are all about that-being able to move, feel better overall and carve out a bit of time for yourself (even with baby!) in the daily chaos! ☺️

Monday was just fabulous!
We worked on biceps and triceps-building strength for functional movement for a growing baby! 💪🏼
Lots of moves can be done with or without baby and the best part is a lot of them can involve lots of fun interaction with baby too, like these. Fabulous press ups!
The ladies were brilliant, were kind enough to take on Baird help and advice and the babies, well-they couldn’t have been any more well behaved!

Welcome back ZoomBugs! 🥰
I will admit I was so nervous this morning in a new location and first session, but we had all lovely ladies, who left feeling the benefit of some solid glute work, with some pelvic floor exercise examples to take home and work on.
Babies were so well behaved and I really enjoyed the first of this six week block!
I’m looking for a handful of ladies for the 10:15am session-if you are interested, pop me a message!

Who is this ZoomBugs lady….?! 🤔
After my Son came along in 2021, my fitness and running had shifted completely. Prior to this, I was quite fit, ran well and did some great events.
All of a sudden I was working out how to balance my time with being a parent, life in general and trying to keep some semblance of fitness. I made errors along the way-I ran a thirty mile ultra marathon four months postpartum and damaged my pelvis more than I could have imagined. I had spent all this time running, but completely neglecting strength training!
I decided I wanted to get stronger and use exercise to improve my mental health but also promote an active and strong lifestyle to other parents too, so I took some postnatal fitness courses during my maternity leave and ZoomBugs gradually formed 🥰
As someone who struggled significantly with PPD, I know first hand just how important physical exercise can be for your body AND your mind. If this can help just one other parent through the madness of the postpartum journey, then that is a success for me 🙂
My classes are not about being some kind of super Mum, it’s about overall wellbeing-meeting other parents with the same goals whilst learning how to make ourselves stronger physically and mentally but also using what we learn to apply to every day parenting….because kids get heavy!

Congratulations to Peppa Pig and family on the arrival of little Evie, and well done to Mummy Pig for looking fresh as a daisy!
Once Mummy Pig gets her six week check from Doctor Brown Bear, she would be welcome to attend ZoomBugs classes…. 😉
She is even welcome to bring George and Peppa too if she needed to.
