Had great fun today riding in a Pre65 scramble at Maylandsea. Yet another first for me trying something different. Never thought I would be riding the bike that I was sat on when I was 5 years old. Long time family friend Dave Harper took the picture of me and Dad. Sadly he is no longer with us and it was a tribute to him me riding the Greeves Griffon today. RIP Dave.

I’m chuffed to say that I passed my practical driving test first time today. It’s been a long road after my TBI, assessments by neurologists, then assessments by the DVLA, going on to pass my theory last February to booking my practical test which was supposed to of been 3rd September. Unfortunately due to my broken femur 29th August it was rebooked in whilst in A&E! The long wait to start driving lessons once again has been more than worth it🚙. A huge thank you to Mike Thoday for being my instructor.

Congratulations to Sam
from his instructor Mick Thoday and the rest of the team here at Driveaway School Of Motoring for passing your practical driving test today.

Just a quick update. Today I went back to clinic in Ipswich to see the surgeon and sadly the brake has not fully healed (X-ray today)as expected so I’ve been told no return to riding for at least another 2 months but on a positive note I can go back to work albeit on light duties.
Just want to say thank you to all my sponsors and supporters for their continued understanding. Super Sam.

Hi all, on Monday at a Grasstrack meeting I unfortunately had a big off in my 3rd race which was caused by my right hand foot rest post to fail and it swung my leg backwards which caused me to highside landing heavily on my right leg which caused a severe fracture at the top of my femur. It’s been pinned and plated and I’m slowly recovering and thank you to all that have sent kind messages. Hope to see you all soon. Super Sam.
