Hopefully the weather is in our favour and it should be a good evening and a great experience for them, and it will be great if we can get a decent crowd up the club to support them. The game starts at 6pm and the bar shall be open for drinks and a BBQ will be going throughout.

Hope to see you there!

Kimbolton vs. Horseheath

20 points is 20 points....

After months of rain and snow the season finally began with a trip over to Horseheath. Despite a couple of mishaps in the warm up seeing Ian Puckle trip over his new spikes to fall flat on his arse and get hit on the head, everyone was fit and on time to take the field after we had won the toss and insert Horseheath on a just cut track. Mark Roberts and Chris Gilthorpe took the new ball after a fight for ends and promptly skittled through the line up to make easy work of a batting line up that clearly hadn't ever heard of a forward defence. Despite the best efforts of Farmer Giles asking if we could bring on someone a bit slower for numbers 10 and 11, Mark took 4-37 and Chris 6-10 despite Mark's best efforts to clean up his favourite batsmen (14 year olds) to complete his 5fer too.

A quick turn around saw Kimbolton out to bat before the Cheesesticks and sandwiches had even arrived, fully expecting to knock the runs off comfortable we ended up 6-4!!! Luckily Matthew Aldwinckle was there to save the day with an assured knock of 26*, with the support of Lee Ingram and Grant Biddle.

A lot was learnt from the game and hopefully the top order will learn from the mistakes made and come back stronger next week at home to Babraham where as much support as possible would be welcome!

Onwards and upwards for the Kimbolton promotion push!
