Join us for two days of sprint/urban orienteering:
On Saturday, as part of the UKUL and UKEOL, we are offering a two-part sprint around Trumpington. Built during the 2010’s, this new housing development has a fantastic sprint offering: a quick, furious area, with an abundance of routechoice and sharp turns that force mistakes from runners.
On Sunday we welcome orienteers to Huntingdon for classic urban orienteering, or a open/elite sprint race. Huntingdon offers a fantastic technical challenge for orienteering with three different urban styles. The courses start and finish in a classic 60’s estate with intricate cut throughs, passages and routechoices that will test runners. As an old market town, the town centre is a challenging mix of narrow alleyways and irregular roads. Contrastingly, a final residential area completes the map, a chance for runners to open up their stride maybe, or is there a catch?

We are honoured to have been awarded University Club of the Year 2023!
Thank you to all CUOC members and to our alumni club DrongO for volunteering throughout the year, participating in our training sessions, and contributing to the welcoming and collaborative environment in the club.
This year, we competed in the European University Championships, we held the Icenian Sprint championships and English Universities championship, we organised the Cambridge City Race and had the pleasure of hosting BUCS.
Every year, we introduce new students to the sport of Orienteering, encouraging participation from all levels at every event.

CUOC women 373:59 - 🏆OUOC women 183:01
We return triumphant from the Tors
An epic battle took place - applause!
Seventeen CUOC-ers, all in all
encountered countours, marshes, rocks of tall.
Some got bogged, some were lost
All were soaking wet, awashed
with a muddy pride, that CUOC blue
Stained on their nails (emboldened hearts, too?)
For Varsity was ours! Cambridge was Victorious
With Pete and Dom taking the podium - so glorious
The rain stopped, sun beamed and sea we did see
For the mass start relay this morning, we finished with glee.
