There’s something truly special about swimming lessons that goes far beyond learning strokes or building water confidence. 💧

In the gentle support of warm water, something deeper unfolds… connection.
Moments of trust. Eye contact. Laughter. A quiet “I’ve got you” without needing words.

The water holds, supports, and softens everything — making space for children to explore, feel safe, and simply be. And in that space, we get these beautiful moments… where learning and bonding become one.

This is why I love what I do. It’s never just about swimming. 💙

❄️💧 Boost Your Serotonin This Winter with Watsu®

Winter’s shorter days and cold weather can lower mood and drain energy — but warm water can help lift you back up.

Watsu® therapy supports natural serotonin production by:
💧 relaxing the body in warm water
🌊 calming the nervous system with gentle movement
🤍 increasing feel-good hormones through nurturing, supportive touch

The result? You leave feeling lighter, calmer, and more balanced — exactly what we need in winter.

✨ Message me to book a warm, restorative Watsu session or give it as a present 🎁

Wow, it’s been an amazing few weeks, with so many memorable moments as we’ve travelled up and down the country for Musical Hydrotherapy training and refresher sessions.

As we look forward to the half term break, one story in particular, from John Grant School in Caister-on-Sea, really stands out among many highlights. It’s detailed here in this film, with the child’s image blurred at the request of her parents, who were also keen that we should share this story more widely.

The pupil featured in this film can find regulation very challenging. In the water, she often screams and is highly unlikely to be comfortable with being held, let alone with putting her head into the water. Her first Musical Hydrotherapy session was a huge, and very emotional, surprise to all: for the last 15 minutes she was lying back floating, held, communicative and full of happiness. Ed, one of her teachers, tells the story:

“I’m very surprised with where we’ve got to at the end of the session, how relaxed she is, she’s laid down with me and Carmella, built up that trust very quickly, so I’m amazed. She’s put her ear in the water and she’s definitely been really interested in the music… so I think this is something we’ll see develop a lot over the next few weeks and months. She’s already asking us for ‘water hug’ as she’s calling it.. .she’s engaging really nicely with the staff so that’s a lot more than she normally did, in one session, that’s amazing, I didn’t think she’d progress so much.

Later on that evening I had contact with her mum and she replied that she was very relaxed at home and then this morning when I picked her up from her dad he said that she was a different person, she was just very relaxed, very calm, she slept really well, so absolutely amazing. In class, we’ve also seen that she was very relaxed. Sometimes she might get upset, she might scream, she might want to run out of the room, but that afternoon, after the session, she was just quite happy being in class, engaging with staff.”

Very special. We wish all our partner teachers and pupils their very own, well deserved “water hug” and a bit of down time over half term. 25/10/2025

🌊 After all that focused effort in the pool, a peaceful float helps the body and mind unwind. Floating is a beautiful way to support nervous system regulation and relaxation.
