Weekends in the Lake District hit differently.
You head out thinking it’s about fitness… then 10 minutes later you’re stopped on a fell “taking in the view” while secretly trying to get your breath back.
It’s a magical place. Fresh air, quiet trails, big climbs, and the kind of views that make everything else feel a little less important. Even a spot of sideways rain somehow feels better than being indoors.
No emails., just muddy shoes, tired legs, and the occasional sheep judging your life choices from the hillside.

London Marathon done 🏁
Not the time I set out for, but days like this are bigger than the finish time. The priority was the experience and respecting the event; it lived up to the expectations.
The crowds, the noise, the energy from start to finish — it’s hard to put into words. Running through London with that level of support is something special, and something I don’t take for granted.
There are thousands of people who would love to be on that start line, Sunday I got to be one of them.

A few photos from the Cambridge Half Marathon and a reflection from the day.
I listened recently to the Men’s Health podcast with Jake Humphrey talking about redefining success, and it made me think about the weekend.
For me, days like this are the chance to challenge myself and where I am physically, but also to celebrate people around me — friends, clients and thousands of other runners showing up.
On Sunday I ran a post 40 yrs old PB. Does it matter? Yes (to some, including me) — but so does the person who made the start line after being ill, the one who hadn’t trained as much as they hoped, or the people who came to cheer or hand out medals.
Some days you’re flying. Other days just getting out the door is the PB, for that day.
As Jake Humphrey said “What can I do today? What’s the best I can do today with where I am, with what I’ve got?”
Celebrate people for where they are today. 1hr 4 mins, just the start line or simply just there to watch, it’s all relative.

Men Over 40: Build Strength, Energy, and Longevity
Crowhurst Fitness Club
Hitting 40 is often called “middle age,” but for many men it’s a turning point—a time to reevaluate priorities, health, and fitness. You may notice your body doesn’t bounce back from late nights or tough workouts the way it once did. Recovery takes longer, extra pounds cling more stubbornl...

Berlin-Munich-Berlin didn’t go as planned. Far from it. From wet stormy weather, to failed bike lights to knee injuries. This year it wasn’t to be. .munich.berlin

This is Dil. Dil was a client with me . He was a guy that made getting up at 4.30 for coaching worth while. He’d bowl in big smile, big personality “what’s going down big Phil”. He became a friend, I wish I’d said as much.
Next weekend Tribe Cambridge will be running in memory and celebration of Dil.
Myself and Callum (owner of Tribe training) will be running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours. We will be running every mile with a smile on our faces, just as Dil always did.
We would love to be joined by as many people next weekend to celebrate and remember Dil. You can run, walk or cheerlead. Any support would be amazing!
If you would like to sponsor and support the amazing cause in Dil’s memory, you can hit the link below 👇

A few more photos from Barcelona to Cambridge. Once through the Pyrenees the south west of France, incredibly hot, rolling hills and sparce. Turns out France shuts down for Bastille Day, causes problems when it's hot and you've run out of water.

A few snaps from the first 2 days of my recent ride Barcelona to Cambridge. A warm start through northern Spain into the Pyrenees where the cloud in, the temperatures drop and visibility became
Low. A few more to follow, not as many as I hoped as my phone broke.
