Hey all!

I hope you’ve all had a good weekend, and it was good to see some of you at sparring on Monday!

First, this is a reminder about our all-abilities class taking place this evening, 5-7pm. For those that are unsure, the location is Studio 1 at the University Sports Centre, Phillipa Fawcett Drive. We will split up the beginners and experienced Martial Artists like we did last week.

These classes are being charged at £5 per session pay as you go, or if you wish to pay for membership this term and come to as many classes as you like, that will cost you £35. If you’ve already paid £5 and are thinking of getting membership, you can just pay the remainder of what you’ve already paid. The account to transfer payment to can be seen below. Please include your csrid in the bank transfer reference!

It is worth mentioning that should you wish to come with cash today instead of bank transferring in advance of training, we anticipate we shouldn’t exceed the capacity of the room this week, so feel free to come along as we won’t turn you away! Again, if you can’t make this week then feel free to come along next week instead.

Second, keep an eye on your inboxes/the Facebook group about updates regarding intermediate/advanced training this Friday – it should be located at Newnham College, 5-7pm should we manage to get booking confirmation. I’ll be in touch later about further details on this.

If you guys have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!

I look forward to seeing you this evening!

First and foremost, welcome to CUKBS! It was great to meet so many of you at the Fresher’s Fair yesterday!

For those of you that couldn’t quite make it but still wanted to come and have a chat about the club, we will be at the Fresher’s Fair again today, 10-4pm, on Parker’s Piece.

The first training session of our weekly introductory course will be 5-7pm today at Studio 1 in the University Sports Centre. This class will be divided into differing abilities with beginners training separately from the more advanced/experienced students.

The introductory course will be charged at £5 pay as you go – if you can’t make today’s training you are more than welcome to come along to next week’s training session or the week after.

We also offer a £35 termly membership which offers you access to all our training throughout the term.

Due to high levels of anticipated interest for today’s training session, we will be offering it on a first pay first serve basis – we ask that you send in advance of the training session £5 or £35 to the following bank account to confirm your spot for later today:

Min Hui Chong
78322527
60-83-71

Please include in the bank transfer reference your csrid.

We do take cash/bank transfer on the door but there is a possibility that we may have to turn you away if we are at capacity. If for whatever reason you can’t come train today then please come along to the next training session of our introductory course which is next Wednesday, same time and place.

If you have any queries, please message the page and I’ll do my best to get back to you.

Finally, we the committee are thrilled to get this year underway, and we can’t wait to get started and meet loads of you at training later today!

CUKBS Love,

Adam Choudhury :))

Hello all and welcome to CUKBS!

My name is Adam and I'm your CUKBS president this year. The committee is really excited to get another year of kickboxing underway. As a club, we are totally beginner friendly with about half of those that join starting with no martial arts experience. We are truly open to all.

Come find us at the Freshers Fair today and tomorrow at Parker's Piece - we'll be there 10-4pm. If you're interested in joining the club this year - whether you want to compete, or just want to keep fit or increase your confidence and learn some self-defense skills - come find us at the Freshers Fair or join our mailing list by filling out the following form: https://forms.gle/UHAPEpLMvQ8piztT6

The first training session of our beginners course will be on Wednesday 5th October, 5-7pm at Studio 1 at the University Sports Centre.

Training costs £5 per session during the beginners course if you would like to try out Cambridge University Kickboxing, or £35 for unlimited training throughout the term.

Due to a high amount of expected interest, we will be offering the first training session of our beginners course on a first pay - first train basis. We do accept cash/bank transfer on the door if you haven't paid in advance of the session but there is some chance you may be turned away if we are at capacity. Details on how to pay in advance will be sent to those that are on the mailing list this evening and tomorrow at midday.

Finally, from myself and the committee, we can't wait to meet all of you!

Hello 2020 freshers! We're the university's Kickboxing society, and we organise training sessions for everyone for health, fitness, and competition.

No experience is necessary to join up (none at all, zero!) - we teach you the basics and make sure everyone moves forward at a pace they're comfortable with. Each year we have around 50 people starting totally from scratch. If you've already done some martial arts before we have a separate coached training group working on pads and fitness.

Ask us anything! Look forward to seeing you in October.

We were lucky to have Demie-Jade Resztan come and take a class for us today in preparation for upcoming competitions this term. Demie-Jade is in the GB Boxing squad and recently won a bronze at the world's in Russia, and was able to share some tips on fitness, technique, and movement that we'll concentrate on as we keep on training. Thanks for coming along!
