HAVE YOU HEARD?
Cambridge University has hit pause on new funding partnerships with the fossil fuel industry. This is a huge step towards ending the fossil fuel industry's corrupting influence on our university.
The decision comes almost 8 months after the university released an independent report, by UN High Level Climate Action Champion Nigel Topping, which agreed that taking funding from companies expanding fossil fuel extraction doesn't square with the university's climate obligations and ambitions.
None of this would have been possible without over a decade of campaigning from students, staff and the wider Cambridge community! Get involved now to help us make this change permanent.

📢 JUST OUT: a WIN for our Fossil Free Research campaign 🚫🛢️
Yesterday, UN Climate Champion Nigel Topping released his report into Cambridge's fossil fuel industry ties, strongly calling for the University to STOP accepting research funding from fossil fuel companies! However, we are disappointed by his decision to recommend continued collaboration with these companies and acceptance of funding from their green subsidiaries.
The University now needs to ACT - no more kicking the can down the road. We will continue to push for it to cut all ties with the fossil fuel industry.
The report is available to read here
