The annual club bbq was a great success again and this time I managed to time the cooking, by chance, so that I could sit and eat with everyone else 😋

A belated congratulations to club members Anine, Denis and Richard on achieving their 1st kyu (brown belt). The grading took place a few months ago but we held off giving the certificates as we wanted as many members as possible to be present.
All three worked really hard towards their grading which is well deserved. The other club members also worked very hard as uke during this time making the club very proud of everyone.

Congratulations to David Pigg for being awarded the Heather Hammond, Ben Peacock trophy. This trophy is awarded each year to the student who has shown the most spirit over the past year. David has worked very hard and persevered throughout the last year and thoroughly deserved this award.

Congratulatuons to club members Ethan and David on passing their gradings. Ethan achieved green belt and David achieved yellow. Both worked very hard for it and did very well. The grading was held a couple of months ago but due to the summer holidays this was the first time we were all together on the mat for a photo.
It's also been a while since our last post but we've been busy at the club each week. Our numbers are not what they used to be pre covid but everyone works very hard and is a huge part of our club and a valued member of our aiki family.
Keep up the good work everyone.

Congratulations to club members Anine, Denis, Richard, Ethan and Isabelle on passing their gradings. It has been a long time coming for the seniors due to lockdown and various other delays so this was extra special for them.
