Today I did something just for me.

I signed up for the Big Bear Events Challenge and didn’t tell anyone.

Six hours. As many 5km laps as you want. Start when you like after 9am, finish when you like before 3pm. No pressure to complete a certain distance. Just do what you want to do.

And I think that’s exactly why I chose it.

I love the support, the community and sharing experiences with people. But today I felt like I needed something that was mine. No expectations. No pressure. No turning it into anything more than it needed to be.

I wanted to test myself with my ruck and genuinely thought I’d probably do one 5km lap.

Then I thought maybe I’d do 10km, but that's it...
...but somehow, 5½ hours later, I’d completed 25km.

Somewhere along the way, the distance stopped mattering.....it became time on my own....

Time to think.
Time to switch off.
Time to gather my thoughts.
Time to reset and recharge.

Just me, my ruck and a lot of walking.

It wasn’t about racing. It wasn’t really about training or achieving anything either.

It just became headspace.

And maybe that’s why I didn’t tell anyone where I was going or what I was doing today. I think, without really knowing it beforehand, I needed it to be just for me.

I loved every minute of it.

Sometimes it’s good to have something that belongs entirely to you, whatever that looks like.

Today, for me, it was 25km with a ruck on my back.

And it was exactly what I needed.

🎒♥️

WE MADE HISTORY. 🌍🎒

I genuinely felt so honoured to be asked to compete alongside these absolute ruck legends.

Together, we became the first all-female ruck relay team in the world to take on the Deadly Dozen Relay — and in doing so, set a World Record. 🏆

But for me, this was about so much more than a record.

These girls inspire me enormously — not only through their athleticism, but through their attitudes, passion, strength, determination and the way they support each other.

There’s no ego. Just friendship, encouragement, shared suffering, a lot of laughs and a willingness to do hard things together.

We’ve created something genuinely special as a team, and I feel incredibly lucky to be part of it.

Four women.
6kg on our backs.
One very tough relay.
One World Record. 🌍

And I have a feeling this is only the beginning...

I can't wait to see where this takes us. 🖤🎒

That was pretty special. ❤️🎒

Yesterday, the four of us became the FIRST all-female relay team in the WORLD to complete a Deadly Dozen Relay wearing 6kg rucks.

And just to put that achievement into perspective…

We were the ONLY relay team wearing rucks.

Every other team we were racing competed without the additional 6kg.

And we still finished SECOND overall. 🥈🔥

That feels pretty amazing.

But genuinely, the result isn't the bit I'll remember most.

I'll remember my girls.

The shouting. The laughing. The suffering. The encouragement. Waiting for each other. Watching each other dig deep. Being ridiculously proud of one another.

Four women choosing to make something already hard even harder — and doing it together.

And THAT is what I love about rucking.

It's not really about the rucksack or the weight on your back.

It's about where it takes you, the things you experience and the people standing beside you while you're doing it.

Friendship. Community. Support. Adventure. Opportunity. Memories.

The sort of day where you drive home absolutely knackered, aching everywhere, but thinking…

That was one of the best days ever.

I bloody love my Ruck Girls. ❤️🎒

Doing hard things. Having ridiculous ideas. Saying “shall we?” when we probably shouldn't. 😂

And then doing it anyway — together.

Massive thank you to Deadly Dozen for giving us the opportunity to do something a little different. The support was incredible, the judging was brilliant and the atmosphere was absolutely awesome.

First all-female Deadly Dozen Relay team to do it rucked.
6kg each.
The only rucked team in the relay.
SECOND overall. 🥈

Now THAT is a memory. ❤️🎒

And that’s a wrap on my first season as a Head Judge 🖤

Yesterday at Alexander Stadium, Birmingham was my final judging stint of the season for Deadly Dozen… and what a season it’s been.

When I stepped into my first event as a Head Judge, I had no idea quite where this season would take me.

From making my Head Judge debut, to being selected for the UK Championships and trusted with the responsibility of 1:1 Head Judging Rachel during her UK record race…

To then standing on the floor at the World Championships, 1:1 Head Judging Rachel and Nat as they went on to become World Champions.

Those are moments I’ll never forget.

But this season has been about so much more than races and records.

It’s been travelling all over the country.
Dinners out.
Sleepovers.
Long days and early starts.
Learning. Laughing. Occasionally wondering what on earth is going on.🤪

It’s been becoming part of our slightly crazy little judging bubble and making some genuinely amazing friends along the way.

We’ve had athlete tantrums, athlete celebrations, tears, disappointment, PBs, records, incredible comeback stories and moments that have genuinely inspired me.

I’ve gained experience I couldn't have got anywhere else, learnt from some of the very best and been trusted with responsibilities that have pushed me to become a better judge and Head Judge.

And I've had a front-row seat watching Deadly Dozen grow into something pretty special.

For my first season as a Head Judge, I couldn't have asked for much more.

So yesterday I put the clicker away for the final time in 2026.

Next season?

More races.
Bigger venues.
More countries.
New goals.
New ambitions.
More responsibility.
More learning.
And an even bigger drive to keep improving.

A huge thank you to everyone at Deadly Dozen for the opportunities, the trust and for welcoming me into this slightly bonkers family.

I genuinely couldn't imagine being anywhere else. 🖤♥️

Season one complete.

See you in 2027… 👀

THAT. BLOODY. BIKE. 🚲😑

I’m not making excuses for DEKA FIT. I know what went wrong, I know what I could have done differently, and lesson learnt.

But I really didn’t like how that bike made me feel.

It nearly broke me. I stopped twice, got in my own head and very nearly had a full-on strop.

So there’s only one thing for it… get better at the bastard.

Assault Bike people — HELP ME. Pacing, technique, breathing, sessions… give me your best tips.

I don’t need to love it. I just need to make sure it doesn’t win next time. 😈

DEKA FIT RUCK 🎒

Well… that didn’t exactly go to plan.....

Somehow, despite only needing to count to THREE, I managed to run TWO extra laps during the race.....

Probably cost me around 2 minutes.....

I still came away with a PB, which I’m obviously happy with… but knowing what that PB could have been if I’d actually been able to count is slightly painful....

And then there was the bike.

No excuses here. The bike is a bitch and it absolutely exposed me today. I stopped twice, nearly had a full-blown strop and basically spent the entire thing wishing it would spontaneously combust.

That’s where the work needs to go.

I should have come away with a podium today, or been bloody close to it. Instead, I made mistakes.

I know what I did wrong the night before.
I know what I did wrong during the race.
And I definitely know what I did wrong afterwards… sulked, got angry with myself and took a while to appreciate that I’d STILL PB’d.

But that’s racing.

You can either sit there pi**ed off about it, or learn from it.

So… new training plan incoming. More focus on the things I hate. More time on that bloody bike. And apparently some practice counting to three. 😂

One massive positive though — SO GOOD to see so many more ruck athletes out there today. This discipline is growing and I absolutely love being part of it.

The ruck community continues to be one of the most supportive, encouraging and slightly unhinged groups of people around. 🎒❤️

Huge congratulations to all my fellow ruck athletes. You all ROCK.

See you at the next one…

Hopefully I’ll count my laps properly and spend considerably less time having an argument with the bike. 😂🎒

DEADLY DOZEN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 🌍🔥

What. A. Weekend.

Head Judging at the Deadly Dozen World Championships at Crystal Palace genuinely felt like one of those career-defining moments that I’ll remember for a very long time.

Competitors from 60+ countries, an absolutely insane crowd, world-class athletes, huge performances and an atmosphere that was electric from start to finish.

And I was right there in the thick of it.

One of my proudest moments was being chosen to judge World Record Holders Rachel Hodgkinson and Natalie Crompton | HYBRID & RUNNING COACH . To be trusted with that responsibility on the biggest stage Deadly Dozen has created was a massive honour and privilege.

I absolutely love Head Judging, but weekends like this remind me that it’s about so much more than counting reps and enforcing standards.

Our volunteer judges were incredible. The energy, enthusiasm and support they brought was unreal. Long days, big pressure, plenty of shouting, plenty of laughs and a team that just got stuck in and made it happen. I’m incredibly proud to work alongside them.

And then there’s everything people don’t necessarily see.

Behind the competition floor is this brilliant little community of people who travel around, work ridiculous hours together, support each other, take the p**s out of each other, celebrate the wins and somehow become genuine friends along the way.

We’re making memories while being part of something that is growing at an unbelievable rate.

This weekend was a huge moment for Deadly Dozen.

It was also a pretty huge moment for me personally within my Head Judging role.

I’m proud of how far I’ve come, proud to be trusted on that stage and very SO grateful that I get to be part of all of this.

Crystal Palace… you were absolutely insane. 🌍🔥

Next stop… Birmingham.

Let’s do it all again. 💜

🌍 DEADLY DOZEN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 🌍

This weekend I have the absolute honour of Head Judging the FIRST EVER Deadly Dozen World Championships at Crystal Palace! 🖤🔥

Athletes from across the world are heading to London to compete on one of the biggest stages Deadly Dozen has created — and I’ll be right in the thick of it, leading the judging team and helping make sure the racing is fair, consistent and delivered to the standard a World Championship deserves.

And I am BUZZING. 🙌

I absolutely love Head Judging these events. The pressure, the responsibility, the atmosphere, the athletes, the team behind the scenes… all of it.

To be trusted with such an important role at the inaugural World Championships means a huge amount to me, and getting to work alongside some of the very best people in the hybrid fitness world makes it even better.

From coaching it, judging it, competing in it and generally shouting VERY loudly about it… Deadly Dozen has become a pretty massive part of my world.

But this weekend hits differently.

World Championships. 🌍
Crystal Palace. 🏟️
Head Judge. 👩‍⚖️

Yeah… I’m pretty proud of that one. 🖤

Now let’s go crown some WORLD CHAMPIONS!! 🔥
