If you are looking to start riding off road more next year, or after a really no nonsense hardtail for the winter its hard to look past the Secta.

If your budget goes a bit higher, you have have a Secta RS for £1499, same frame with a few choice upgrades

If you want a slighlty lower cost to entry, you can have the Secta R for just £899

Often, If you want a more natural ride experience from an EMTB, You need to drop to an SL EMTB.

This usually means smaller battery/smaller motor.

Whyte solve this problem a bit differently.

The Elyte comes equipped with a full power Gen 5 Bosch motor with 100nm of power, but the battery is split.

The bike comes equipped with a 400wh internal battery and a 250wh range extender.

So for short mid week rides, you aren't carrying the additonal weight of a big battery, so the bike feels super nimble.

If you are off for a huge one, you can use the 250wh Power More Extender.
