Anglia Ruskin Judo Club was started by a group of students back in 2008 and quickly became a successful club winning lots of BUCS medals. Any questions?
The judo club supports all level of Judokas. Our Dojo is situated in Dance Studio on Cambridge Campus. The club is led by an elected commission headed by head coach Katrina McDonald. ARU Judo Club members regularly receive medals from various tournaments, including the BUCS Nationals Championships. CHALLENGE CUP 2025 🏆
ARU Judo secured a 3-0 win over UEL in the Challenge Cup – the first time judo has taken part in the event in Cambridge. For some of our members, this was their first-ever competition, making the victory even more special!
ARU as a whole went on to win the overall Challenge Cup for the first time in 6 years, marking a huge achievement for the university 🎉
With our team continuing to grow and succeed, there’s never been a better time to get involved.

WE'RE BACK! 🥋
Our first taster session of the year is this week! Wednesday 24th September 5-7pm we will be in kelsey kerridge introducing judo to newbies and progressing current judoka!
For your first session you can wear normal gym clothes but if you have a Gi already that's great! (Judo or BJJ welcome)
