JUNIOR SECTION WEEKEND ROUNDUP

Another busy weekend for our junior section.
The micros were exhibiting great listening, concentration and passing and catching! Great to hear.

Our U18 girls had a strong performance In Moffat as it became a development match 5 mins into the second half with the score at 54-0, ended up 69-15.

Our U18 boys went down 31 - 45, the boys were amazing though as the backline were all playing out of their usual positions. 10 was playing 9, 13 was playing 10, 8 was playing 12, 15 was playing 13, 11 was playing 15
And if you could run, you were on the wing.
Forwards did their job too.

U16 girls won 78-0 in Mid Argyll.

U16 boys won 40-17 against Stewartry.

Our U13 boys lost in the last play away to Ayr. We were 21-5 down in the first 10 minutes and turned it around to be winning 36-28 with 5 minutes left. A couple of turnovers from us and Ayr went the length with the last play to win 42–36.

Our U12 and U14 girls were at laser tag having fun.

U18 boys lost to Dundee 26-40

Sun
U18 girls played out a narrow 37-33 loss at Dundee, really came down to the last five minutes, Dundee dominated for much of the game but we’d managed to hold a lead from about 15 minutes until that point. Great effort from the girls and a really good game for our first of the season.

U16 boys won 62-29 to Dundee
U16 Girls won vs Lenzie
U14 boys won vs Hamilton
U13 boys lost 38-28 away to Hamilton

U12 and U14 girls played some very competitive matches away to Falkirk

P4-7 welcomed Hamilton and Whitecraigs. Big day for P4 playing their first full contact matches.

The micros continue to get better each week learning the core skills. Well done to all.

What a weekend for our Junior Section — with plenty of rugby, development and some fantastic performances across the age groups! 👏

⭐️ A FIRST FOR OUR U16 BOYS! ⭐️

A huge moment for the club as our U16 Boys kicked off their 2026/27 season in style away to Deeside — playing their first-ever match in the National Leagues! 🏉🔥

This is a brilliant milestone for the team and our Junior Section, and a reflection of all the hard work put in by the players, coaches and everyone involved in their development.

👏 Well done, boys — what a way to start this new chapter!

Elsewhere across the club…

🏉 U13 Boys played their first match on a full-size pitch, welcoming Marr for an absolute cracker! Honours finished even at 31–31, with plenty of skill, determination and endeavour on show. Well done to everyone involved and a big thank you to Marr for visiting and providing such a tough test.

💪 P7 were hard at work in training, focusing on tackle and ruck height and continuing to build those important skills.

🏉 U12s were on the road away to Ayr.

🌟 P1s & Cubs enjoyed another brilliant morning of rugby, with excellent feedback from all the coaches. Well done to our youngest players!
