S1 were also out in action last night against Vixens Netball and our first outing against them....

Vixens pulled out to 15-4 lead in the first quarter and from thereon in, we played catch up but just couldn't gain enough ground...

Despite the final result (51-25) there was still loads of positives to take from the game, attacking intercepts, good defensive pressure on vixens attack end... sadly just wasn't our night....

Shout out to our engine room that is Caroline Steel who bagged the OPOM...

And massive shout out to Vicky Mackie bagging the PP... did someone mention retirement?? 🤔 thanks for stepping in willingly (😉😉) to help out on the night

No pictures unfortunately of our gorgeous new dresses... next time 💓

Onwards and upwards to the next game gals

A strong start from Sapphires 2 with some excellent intercepts, turnovers and great movement up and down the court! 💪

It was a really close game, with both teams battling hard throughout. Unfortunately, we lost a bit of momentum in the final quarter, allowing Black Diamonds to take the lead. We went down by just 4 goals, but there were plenty of positives to take away! 💗

Final score: 38–42

🏆 POM and PP Maureen Connolly

Heads up, Sapphires! We keep working, learning and pushing forward together! 🩷💙🩷

Match report 2

Glasgow South Saltires Netball Club v Sapphires 1

The 1s were up against an almost brand new Saltires 3 team and looked from the start that we would be bagging the win... taking the first quarter by 5, it then sadly slipped through our fingers.... some real positive play though and the girls kept grinding throughout but it wasn't our night at the office...

Final score 51-36 to Saltires

Well done to our sharp shooter Claire Forsyth for bagging the OPOM... shots and movement in the circle amazing as always...👌👌

PP went two ways with el Capitano Gayle Hickinson and Louise Cullen sharing the goods.. well done both and great to have u back on court Lou 👏

We go again girls... keep heads and chins held high....

Match Report 1

Sapphires 2 vs Flames 2 💙🩷

A bit of a shaky start tonight against a well-organised Flames side. It took us a while to find our feet, but once again the whole squad stepped up, battled hard and brought it back in the last quarter.

Unfortunately, it just wasn’t to be tonight

Plenty of positives to take, and we’ll keep pushing forward! 💪🏼💙🩷

Final score: 35–43

Onwards and upwards onto the next!

POM and PP Grace McCluney 💙🩷

Special mention as well to our Mcg Lau taking part in the Great Scottish Run this weekend 🏃‍♀️‍➡️

S2 took on Kilwinning Sapphires on Wednesday night and started strong, taking an early lead! 💪

It was a very physical game, and every single player stepped onto court and gave it their all. We fought right until the very last minute to secure the win! 🏆🔥 Final score 36-31 🙌

Our defensive duo were absolutely on fire tonight! 🔥 They worked tirelessly and made some amazing interceptions.

A very well-deserved POM went to Lucy Jayne and PP went to Grace McCluney — both had an outstanding game and were absolutely brilliant! 👏💙🩷

What a performance from the whole team! 💪🔥
