What a night out on the water for our penultimate session of the season! ⛵✨

We had a fantastic turnout with 7 boats and 15 eager young sailors making the absolute most of the evening. It’s been incredible watching our younger crew benefit from the fresh energy and expertise of our newly qualified sailing instructors—hopefully, they managed to impart a bit of wisdom (or at least keep everyone point-sailing in the right direction! 😄).

Huge thanks to our instructors, safety boat crews, and volunteers for keeping everything running smoothly. Let’s make our final night next week the biggest and best one yet! 🌊 Rig up early and we'll see you on the slipway!

Our young sailors headed out on Campbeltown Loch today with high hopes of catching a front-row seat for the great eclipse! 🌒✨

Equipped with high spirits and serious dedication, they floated, waited, and watched... only for the famous Scottish weather (and some very stubborn clouds) to give us a whole lot of gray and not much eclipse! ☁️😅

Even if the sky didn't quite deliver the cosmic show we were hoping for, our crew made the absolute best of it.

⛵️ Who needs the Caribbean when you’ve got Campbeltown Loch?! 🌴☀️

What an absolutely fab night out on the water! The weather has been glorious, the breeze was spot on, and the views were second to none.

Whether you were out rigging up, catching the wind in your sails, or keeping watch from the rescue boat, summer evenings really don't get any better than this. Huge thanks to everyone who came out to make the most of a perfect night!

⛵️ A Perfect Night on the Water! ⛵️

We couldn't have asked for better conditions this evening for our sailing tonight. With beautifully mild winds, it was the perfect opportunity for some of our younger members to step up, take the tiller, and helm a dinghy all by themselves! Seeing their confidence grow out there was absolutely fantastic.

Safety is always our top priority, and these young sailors were under the watchful eye of our safety boat the entire time.

A massive thank you goes to our incredible safety boat skipper, who literally raced back from a trip tonight just to ensure we had full safety coverage and could get the kids out on the water. We appreciate you going above and beyond!

Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a memorable evening.

⛵️ What a brilliant evening on the Loch! 🏊‍♂️

Tonight’s dinghy night at Campbeltown Sailing Club was all about sharing the water and making the most of a beautiful evening. Our sailors were delighted to share the Loch with some local triathlon swimmers—it was fantastic to see so many people out enjoying the water together!

The wind was on our side too. With a beautifully light breeze, it was the perfect opportunity for some of our less experienced young sailors to step up, take the helm, and build their confidence. They did an absolutely amazing job!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, helped out, or cheered us on from the shore. 🙌

Things have calmed down tonight—fewer people and much less wind, aside from the occasional gust. A few of our volunteers think they spotted a Minke whale right in front of the rescue boat! I’m absolutely gutted that I missed it, though. 🐋 🐋 🐋 🐋 🐋 🐋

⛵ What a Splash! First Night of Dinghy Sailing

What a way to kick off the season! It was a fabulous first night out on the water for Campbeltown Sailing Club.

While the conditions were a bit blustery (to say the least!), the wind didn't dampen anyone's spirits. It was fantastic to see so many smiling faces tackling the gusts and enjoying the thrill of the Loch. The energy was top-notch!

🌊 Local Talent Makes a Splash! ⛵

We are absolutely blown away by the creativity over at Drumlemble Primary School!

After a recent visit where we chatted with the students about everything Campbeltown Sailing Club has to offer—from the thrill of the water to the lifelong skills of navigation and teamwork—the children put pen to paper to design a poster for us.

Why we love it:

Community Spirit: Seeing the club through the eyes of our local youth is incredibly inspiring.

Future Sailors: The enthusiasm for getting out on the water was clear in every drawing!

Creative Flair: They captured the essence of CSC perfectly.

We want to say a massive thank you to the pupils and staff at Drumlemble for such a warm welcome and for this fantastic piece of art. It’s a wonderful reminder that sailing is for everyone, whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting to find your sea legs.
