Day 1 of renovating the Community Book Box at Heath Hayes Park

One of our new litter pick boards has gone into place today. Borrow a picker, take a bag, pick up litter and return your picker!

Friends of Heath Hayes Park volunteers have been busy bees the last couple of days with making our park area look great ready for summer!

Some planting today and an awesome flypast over the park that made several of our young helpers very very excited! 😊😊😊

Doing some weeding at the park today and this fabulous man shows up and not only rescues me from a toad that jumped on me while I was weeding away 🤣 but he measures up the community book box, disappears for a short while and returns and fits the book box with a shiny bit of thick Perspex, that he’s cut to size and added holes to, to ensure it’s fixed securely.

A massive thank you to Andy Hopwood for repairing our community book box. Very much appreciated! 😊😊😊
