This week we had the pleasure of spending Tuesday and Wednesday with 20 students from the Delaware Valley University delivering training and assessments for the British Horse Society Challenge Awards.
Over the two days, students worked towards their Bronze and Silver Awards in Flatwork, Jumping and Rider Fitness. We were incredibly impressed by the enthusiasm, dedication and positive attitudes shown by every student throughout the training and assessments.
A huge congratulations to all 20 students who successfully passed their awards – a fantastic achievement that they should all be very proud of!
A special thank you to the students for their hard work, willingness to learn and the great attitudes they brought to every session. It was a pleasure to work with such a motivated and supportive group.
We would also like to thank Kay, Abbie, Nat and Kim for all their hard work in organising, coaching and assessing over the two days. Events like these are only possible through teamwork, and their commitment helped make the programme a huge success.
Well done to everyone involved – we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and look forward to seeing what the future holds for these riders.

Rider of the month -
Coach Kay - I would like to nominate Anna Richards and Ryan for Rider of the Month.
Their commitment to their cross-country training has been phenomenal. They are dedicated, consistent, and always willing to put in the work, showing up to training with a positive attitude and a strong desire to improve. Their hard work, perseverance, and enthusiasm set a great example for others and have been reflected in their continued progress.
Coach Steph - Mine is Emily she’s built so much confidence in the short time I’ve been seeing her in which she has now started to learn canter and is doing a great job and improving every time.
Coach Niamh - Anuli Garcia-Grainger she has had a break from riding, and has settled back in really well and has worked hard on improving her position while adjusting to riding different horses. When she rode Oscar for the first time and she did a fantastic job.
Coach Helen - Mine is Faith Middleton. Faith has returned after a break and is slowly building her confidence again. Each time she rides she takes on board my suggestions to improve her riding. We are now considering jumping again after a setback with the discipline before she came to Rockstar.
Coach Natalie - My rider of the month is Sandie, I dont think she realises how good she is! She rode red for the first time sunday and did a real.good quiet job on her.
I really enjoyed her lesson.
Coach Abbie - Taran Dhinsa for her wonderful clear round on Friday. After not jumping for a few years Taran took a big step and joined in Fridays clear round training. From start to finish Taran rode Ravi beautifully. Quiet and sympathetic throughout. It was a pleasure to watch x
Coach Kim - Dawn Parrish - Dawn has been working really hard to bring everything she has been learning together and it is really starting to show! It is a pleasure to see the confidence that she is starting to have on a range of horses.

THERE IS NO AGE LIMIT ON CONFIDENCE 🌿🐴
We hear so many riders say:
“I’m too old to feel like this.”
“I should be braver by now.”
But confidence is not linked to age.
It changes through life, stress, hormones, experiences, and health.
Needing support does not mean you’re going backwards.
Riding is hard.
Life is hard.
You’re allowed to find some days difficult.
