Great start to Sunday with a 5km city tour with Louis.💪

Louis has just moved to Canterbury, taking up a new job in the city and had the brilliant idea to combine his love of running - he’s been training for the Nice Half Marathon - with a bit of sightseeing/orientation.

We had such a good chat as we ran around the sights that I almost forgot to take a picture, so this is the only one we got!

What an awesome way to start the week with a 5km city tour for Reese and Nathan from Colorado.🇺🇸

The couple are avid runners and are in town as their daughter settles in life as a Canterbury student.

Having never done a running tour before, they were curious to learn what it was all about and I was more than happy to show them around!

A beautiful bank holiday weekend.

First up on Saturday was the annual bOing! Festival at Gulbenkian Arts Centre with the incredible Arborialis Luminarium followed by some silent disco.

Sunday saw us out for a 9 mile trot south of the city along the Pilgrim’s Way and some peaceful views of the Stour in Solly’s Orchard.

A very special VIP run today with child 2 who, as the T-Shirt says, is just a boy who loves dolphins.🐬

We didn’t do the full city tour, but 4.5km was a new best for him, even if he had a lie down in a hammock half way round.🤣

Great tours this morning, with both our 5k and 10k tours running.

Joining us for the first 5km were Rosie and Harrison from Portsmouth and Josh and Nick from Connecticut.🇬🇧🇺🇸

Josh ran our tour last September at the start of his Masters Degree at the University of Kent. Now, with just a couple of weeks to go, he brought his friend from home, Nick, along for a second tour.🙌

The boys left us after 5km and Rosie, Harrison and I continued on into the countryside for the second half of the 10km run. Rosie and Harrison are both training for various races: the Great South Run (Rosie) and the Richmond marathon (Harrison), and decided to leave the kids with grandparents to build a running tour into their respective training blocks. And I’m very happy they did.💪

Thanks to everyone for choosing our tours today. I really enjoyed showing you around our beautiful little city. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and safe travels.

Out early to recce the route for this weekend’s 10km tour and bumped into these beauties.

And we’re back.🙌

Out for a first run after our hols and Canterbury and the grounds of St Augustine’s Abbey are looking dry. Not sure what John Tradescant the Elder would’ve made of this summer and our garden is as yellow as the sun. Hay baling season has started early as a result, and we saw plenty of today’s 10km run, plus some interesting new graffiti and the odd dash of green.

Coming soon … Zakynthos Running Tours 🇬🇷🤣

We might be visiting family on holiday but we’re still getting out early to run before the heat really builds. Life is good when you can run on the beach everyday, and then jump into the sea to cool off. Don’t worry, I’m managing to stay hydrated.🍺
