Welcome to an exciting year of play, movement and positive experiences for your children! 🌟

At Starting Blocs, our aim is simple — to give every child in Wales aged 4–10 the best possible start in athletics, through fun, safe, and inclusive activities that build confidence and fundamental movement skills. 🏃‍♂️🤸‍♀️🏃‍♀️
Created by Welsh Athletics, our programme uses playful games to teach the foundations of running, jumping and throwing in an environment where every child can succeed at their own pace.

Since investing in Starting Blocs two years ago, more than 9,000 children have gained essential movement skills, boosted their confidence, and discovered the joy of being active. 🙌💙 In today’s video, meet Simon Thompson from Starting Blocs as he dives into how the initiative works and shares some exciting plans for the future. 🎥✨
