A knifepoint robber from Cardiff was arrested within two hours of robbing his local supermarket – thanks to the bravery of a customer who recorded the whole incident on her phone.   After seeing the footage, officers were immediately able to identify the suspect and know where he lived.   Leon Carpin, 34, from Pontprennau, entered the Lidl store in Pentwyn at lunchtime on Saturday, November 9, with his face partially covered by a scarf.   He went on to plead guilty to all charges and, at Cardiff Crown Court on February 28, he was jailed for five years and six months.   #police #policing #Cardiff #heddlu #plismona #Caerdydd
