Lots of talent 👇👏
⚽ Why is attendance at training so important?
In children’s football, we often look at talent.
At results.
At whether “it went well today.”
Less often do we look at something much simpler: consistency.
And development doesn’t happen in a single training session.
It happens through repetition.
🔍 What does high attendance give a young player?
1️⃣ Repetition of stimuli
Children learn through repetition.
Every missed session means fewer decisions, fewer duels, fewer experiences.
2️⃣ Continuity of the process
Training sessions are not random exercises.
There is a theme, progression, adjustments.
Absence breaks that continuity.
3️⃣ Confidence
A player who trains regularly:
– reacts faster
– makes braver decisions
– understands the game better
Not because they are more talented.
But because they are in the rhythm of work.
4️⃣ Relationships and responsibility for the team
Teamwork is built during the week, not just on the weekend.
A team is a system of connected parts.
👨👩👧 The role of parents — especially in the youngest age groups
In U6–U10 categories, attendance is not the child’s responsibility.
It’s the adult’s.
A change in training time.
An extra friendly match.
An away tournament at the weekend.
Logistically, it can be challenging.
It requires time, flexibility, and often sacrifice.
But if we decide to enroll a child in training,
it’s worth remembering that consistency is part of that choice.
It’s an investment in the child’s passion.
Not to “get something back.”
Not to make them a professional.
But so that they:
✔️ feel a sense of belonging
✔️ feel confident within the group
✔️ develop at their own pace
Because simply being present truly helps a young athlete.
📌 Talent without consistency slows down.
Consistency without talent — develops.
And very often, it is attendance
that makes the biggest difference in the early years ⚽

This year couldn’t have started any better👇
Our player Monzer has joined the Cardiff City Academy.
Monzer joined Zelga Football Academy over two years ago and had never played for any team before. Once again, we have proven that talent and professional training at our academy make it possible to reach your dreams.
Congratulations to Monzer and his parents!

🍂 Why It’s Worth Training Outdoors in Autumn and Winter ❄️⚽
It’s getting colder, the days are shorter — but this is exactly the time to build a young player’s character and resilience 💪
Here are 5 reasons why you shouldn’t move training indoors too early:
1️⃣ Strengthening the immune system
Outdoor activity boosts immunity and helps prevent seasonal illnesses.
It’s not the warm gym that toughens us up — it’s the cold, the wind, and a bit of mud 😉
2️⃣ Real playing conditions
The ball bounces differently, the grass is slippery, the wind changes its path — and that’s what real football looks like!
It’s a great lesson in adaptability and game awareness.
3️⃣ More space, more freedom
An outdoor pitch means movement, pace, and energy that can’t be replicated indoors.
Kids learn to make decisions in conditions similar to real matches.
4️⃣ Fresh air and better focus
Cold air “refreshes” the mind — outdoor sessions teach concentration even when comfort is limited.
5️⃣ Building character
“There’s no bad weather — only bad attitude.”
Training in rain or cold shows who can fight no matter the conditions 🌧️
⸻
⚽ Coach, parent — remember:
Instead of giving up, prepare properly: hat, gloves, thermal clothes, and a warm tea after practice.
Then… let your child feel proud that they made it through! 💪
