2025 Team Tennis Review 🏆

🏅 Summer Men’s and Ladies’ Teams - South Wales Premier 1 Champions

We’re incredibly proud that both our Men’s and Ladies’ 1st Teams are the 2025 South Wales Premier 1 Champions, winning the top tier of the South Wales Doubles League once again! For our Men’s team, this marks a record-breaking 55th title overall, with 2025 being the 100th edition of the South Wales Doubles League. We have now won both the Men’s and Ladies’ Premier 1 titles in the same year 32 times. Only one other club has managed to win both in the same year – New Eaton in 1933 & 1938 – highlighting just how dominant our club has been in South Wales tennis. More success came from our 60 & Over Mixed Doubles Team, who won the top division of South Wales for the 6th time this summer. Congratulations to all involved!

📈 Men’s 4th Team – Promoted!

A big shoutout to our Men’s 4th Team, who have earned promotion to Division 1 East. A fantastic achievement that shows the depth and talent across all our teams.

❄️ Winter League – More Top Division Titles!

There was also success in the winter, with our club also winning the top divisions in both the Men’s and Mixed Doubles Winter Leagues.

Sun’s shining as another year of the Cardiff LTC Open gets underway this afternoon!

Last Friday, we held a barbecue to celebrate the end of another summer team tennis season. Thank you to all members who have contributed to our teams over the past few months. A special thanks also goes to our team captains, whose hard work behind the scenes ensures everything runs smoothly throughout the season. And finally, congratulations to each team’s Player of the Year. Well done all!

Busy week of matches, with teams travelling to Leicester, Haverfordwest, and many clubs in between. Well done to all our players, from the National League teams to the 8th team in the South Wales Doubles League. You always do us proud!

Great turnout for our first Friday mix-in of the season! Glad to see so many new and returning members enjoying playing on a beautiful night as summer approaches 👏

It was great to welcome back Cardiff Uni tennis to CLTC today. This afternoon was busy with social play, a match and coaching!

Last week saw another successful annual Open competition at CLTC! Congratulations to all winners and finalists seen above. Thanks to all players, parents, and members who supported the event. It was also great to see again this year, with lots of new faces. Thanks to for organising their trip. Hope to see you all again next year!

The Men’s 1st Team’s incredible run continues! They have won the South Wales Premier 1 title for the 11th consecutive year this summer. Well done to all involved, and a special mention to Corey, Neirin, and Alex Hamer for winning their first title with the team.

Well done to our 60 & over mixed doubles team on winning South Wales’ top division this summer. Also congratulations to our Ladies’ 4th team on their promotion, making it back to back promotions! 👏

Entry closes on Sunday for our annual Cardiff LTC Open Grade 3 tournament! This year’s event will take place between the 18th and 23rd of August. To enter, the tournament can be found on the LTA Competitions website, as well as on our story.
