Yesterday we 'cracked open' the subject of alcohol as I welcomed my first guest, the friend and inspiration that is James Hansen.
At this time of year especially, we can often feel compelled to drink when we perhaps know we shouldn't or don't want to.
My own relationship with alcohol varies, so from a personal perspective, I really wanted and needed this conversation.
Here's hoping you benefit from it too.
James is Director of JH Counselling Solutions, Founder of the Escape the Chaos Programme, an Addictions Counsellor and a fellow ADHD Life Coach. https://www.escape-the-chaos.co.uk/
I met James 3 years ago and ever since, we've spoken nearly every week.
He is a monumentally inspiring individual who I'm proud to have seen speak and emotionally capture audiences on several occasions.

I now have a podcast!
Something for the Busy Brain. 'Something for the Busy Brain' - honest conversations to help you manage the overwhelm and make the most of your potential.
Available on Spotify, Apple, Amazon and YouTube podcasts, plus others.
I want to help more people than I can reach through my coaching alone, so I'll be inviting guests from my extensive network to talk about living life with a busy brain in a world that doesn't let you switch off.
I'd love it if you had a listen, gave it a follow, and shared it with anyone you'd think might benefit.

For someone to have a healthy relationship with their ADHD, there's a lot that needs to go beforehand...
Being able to talk about your ADHD is critical, but a lot of people are nowhere near that point; shame, low self-image, overwhelm, frustration, misunderstood, lonely and isolated - these are just a handful of the vast and complex feelings experienced.
My coaching and our Think Differently group programme is designed to help adults with ADHD:
- Gain a better understanding of ADHD
- Understand why we behave and think like we do
- Learn to better accept our differences
- Feel comfortable talking about our experiences of ADHD
- Develop coping mechanisms and strategies for managing ADHD
- Develop a more positive mind set and become more solutions-focused, working with our ADHD, not against it
- Identify and unlock our strengths, many of which are because of our unique minds
My mission is to help as many people with ADHD as possible, by making support accessible and affordable.
ADHD is NOT a go-it-alone condition, so please don't make it one!
Everything starts with a free chat, so take that first step and get in touch. I'd love to hear from you!
