Mission complete! 🦈
With the final episode of Deadly Mission Shark on BBC last night, we
had a wee gathering of local UK crew to raise a glass and toast the
accomplishment. (We missed you .steve ,
! You made this show what it is!)
After casting our 6 from over 1000 applicants (and breaking a lot of
little hearts 🥹) we had the huge task of safeguarding as we planned
our shoot in . How do we keep 10 kids from multiple countries
all safe in the waters of the “shark capitol of the world”.. well I’d
need a bit longer to explain how. But with a team of 30+ we somehow
pulled it off, with sweat, tears and thankfully no blood!
It was my job to take the lead on dive planning, using connections old
and new under the expert guidance of Neil Brock
to get our kids through training and create a dive plan to gradually
build our kids experience, with tides, currents and all other fun
stuff in mind. Our risk assessment was nothing short of a tome. It was
great working back in Bimini and thanks to our incredible team, we
made a show that I think is nothing short of amazing.
What other show let’s you be an underwater camera operator, topside
long lens, safety diver, researcher, fixer, edit assistant and archive
seamonkey. Thanks DMS team!

⚠️️We are busy & on the hunt to expand our Cardiff-based team!⚠️
We're back on the look out for the right individual to join our team on a full time basis.
The role is a customer-focused and will involve dealing with a variety of people, from the person who walks in off the street to the larger organisations that we work with such as the BBC.
Your time will be spent between the retail side of the business and the workshop.
You must have great people skills, be prepared to learn, be a qualified diver, and be able to work a 5 day week.
Appropriate training will be provided.

🎄 Festive opening hours🎄
As always, we'll be shut over Christmas for a well-deserved break after a busy year.
The shop will close at 1300 on Friday 23rd and reopen in the New Year on Wednesday 4th to our normal opening hours.
If you have any Christmas diving plans to escape the relatives best get your gas fills before Friday!
