Highfields Basketball Tournament

We had a fantastic Basketball Tournament on Monday...thank you to everyone who came to take part and those that came just to support their teams, there was a really good range of abilities and a great atmosphere.

We had very worthy winners in the categories: Sportsmanship, Best Player, Best Shot, Runners Up (Team) & Winners (Team).

Thank you to Tom for the talk, those that helped with lifts, registration, time keeping and scoring... with special thanks to Barney & O'Brian for their brilliant job in refereeing the games. Barney in particular was a massive help in organising the event. Thank you also to our friends from Scottsdale.

Because of its success we would very much like to organise another tournament next year. Watch this space...

Less than 17 hours to go to the start of our very first Basketball Tournament at the Sport Wales National Centre...very exciting! Remember all levels of basketball playing ability are welcome, or you could come to just watch! Let me know if you need a lift.

The Basketball Tournament will have 5 players in each team - with as many substitutes as you like.

There's an entry fee of £2 per person .... basketball coaching is provided.
