What is a FABS class?
A FABS class is divided into components covering a warm-up, aerobic, strength, balance, a game, flexibility and cool-down. All of the exercises can be done seated, standing or a mixture of both. There is no lying down.
Aerobic - strengthening and improving functionality of the heart with simple routines to music you’ll love.
Strength - Using graded resistance bands and light hand weights to promote muscle strength and bone density
Balance - Working to maintain and improve balance helping to prevent risk of falls
Games - a social game targeting memory, focus, and co-ordination
Flexibility - Stretches to keep the body supple and preventing sore muscles
Cool-down - Bringing the session to a close in a calm and relaxing manner.
