πŸ₯‡πŸ₯‡ Client Shout Out πŸ₯‡πŸ₯‡

Today I have to put an amazing shout out to my client Alex, for her remarkable effort in completing this year's TCS London Marathon πŸ‘πŸ₯‡

Alex came to me early spring to help her become stronger in order to take on the 26.2 mile route around England's capital city. This was third time lucky getting to this event after 2 unsuccessful attempts through the ballot. She's been regularly training with me each week. On top of that she's also attended some gym classes. But Alex has also used some road and virtual events to help her deal with the distance. The Porthcawl and Barry 10k's, plus the Virtual Swansea Half Marathon.

Alex succeeded on her mission to complete the London Marathon, and did so in 8 hours 33 minutes. What you've achieved is nothing short of incredible. But Alex hasn't stopped there. Unfortunately she was unsuccessful in the ballot for next year's event. But will still take part virtually by completing the course at night running the route in the opposite direction. Therefore starting at The Mall and finishing at Greenwich Park.

***Client Shout Out***

Testimonial Tuesday is all the fantastic Melissa who approached me 10 months ago looking to start PT. Her main goals were to lose weight, improve her strength and tone, plus feel more confident in herself.

Initially we started with one session a week, plus she was attending 2/3 group classes on top of that. Things however slightly started to plateau, which meant needing to change elements of her training. We then increased to 2 PT sessions a week and scheduled in more weights based group classes that would help towards enhancing her progress.

This afternoon she finished her final session with me before her Wedding this weekend. Melissa has lost 2 stone in weight, 10.5cm off her waist and 10cm from her hips. On top of that she's deadlifting 45kg and benching 25kg. These are exercises she had never done and has grown in confidence with them. These results are simply fantastic and is testament to your consistency and the will never to give up. Many congratulations to you and thank you for being another outstanding client πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

Now that October has started, we're well and truly in to the final quarter of 2022.

How's you week been?

This is how mine's gone.

Helped the Cardiff Gate Team over the finish line with the September 300 mile challenge πŸ’ͺ

Starting early each morning to help Team Group121 push further on with their goals πŸ’ͺ

Steadily increasing the weights on some of my lifts. I know not the heaviest, but it's within my capability at the moment and looking forward to pushing on πŸ’ͺ

Two weeks have passed without any kind of unusual uncomfortable chest pains or breathlessness that stuck around longer than expected after my COVID in the spring πŸ’ͺ

The last one for me is the biggest achievement. Simply because you can't put a price on good health 😊

Hope you're all proud of your achievements πŸ’ͺ😊

Sweat in the eyes after another brilliant Saturday 5k Park Run.

Everything's heading in the right direction. Here's this months finish time stats below.

10th September - 29.01
17th September - 27:54
24th September - 27:01

So a huge 2 minute difference through the month. Hope to see some more progress through October. But more importantly I'm enjoying the running. Even if there's little or no progress, I'm just glad to have the opportunity πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ😊

A very different feel to Park Run this morning. Thankfully an event that has still been able to go ahead. It was wonderful to observe a one minutes silence before the start and stand united with so many. Definitely was the right thing to do.

Massive shout out to my client Tia who last week has dropped 3 and a half stone (over 22 kilos) this year.

An Extra Push.... That's all that's needed to progress you on, and also to see out the remainder of 2022.

Now that the summer is over, we're approaching the final quarter of the year. What can you say you've achieved? What's your highlight?
These are some of mine.

Firstly, to still be doing the job I love and helping a wonderful team of dedicated people.

Secondly, achieve 3 massive running goals, including my final Cardiff Half Marathon and Vale Coastal 10 Mile Trail.

Thirdly, to have battled through the recovery process of having Covid in the spring. This took nearly 4 months and required important medical checks, a few tears shed and a lot of patience. In addition to be back running again.

Fourth, to have my foot in the door with career progression in the industry. When the call up comes, I'll be there.

Lastly and definitely the best of the lot, to see my daughter complete one journey finishing primary school, and for her to begin secondary school this week. My wife
gets most of the credit for all she does, but as a team we do our very best for our girl.

All of this comes to having a lot of faith, belief and never being afraid of making that extra push.

To my team and to all the Members , don't stop believing, keep doing your thing, bring others with you, be kind, and don't leave anyone behind. Here's to a successful last quarter of 2022 πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ😊

Pulling out all the stops πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

First week back after Summer Holiday Part 1, and I'm super proud of the team with their continued hard work, both in my absence and during this week.

So as always it's a huge well done and thank you for your ongoing retention and support.

Obviously with commitments over the summer holidays, we can all feel pretty stretched or put some elements of our fitness journey on hold. I can very much relate to this having to juggle my schedule with also being there for my daughter. So I totally get it. Just keep doing your best, even if it's a shorter session than what you'd like, something is better than nothing.
