Well - it was a whirlwind! But we made it - and learnt so much - a great week exploring ideas on sharing culture, moving away from it being linked to our (ever changing) nation states across Europe...

🗣 UNA Exchange is looking for youth workers for a training course in North Wales on Intercultural sensitivity / intercultural understanding - all expenses paid !
⏰ Date: FRIDAY 6th DECEMBER 2019 – FRIDAY 13th DECEMBER 2019
📍 Place: Urdd Glan-llyn/ BalaBala, North Wales, United Kingdom
🎙👨👨👧👧 Participant's profile : Works with young people aged 13-30, in a paid, voluntary, full or part-time position and resident of the following countries :
🇪🇺 Eligible countries : We have 2 spaces available for Youth Workers from the United Kingdom, 3 from Sweden, 2 from Greece and 1 from Estonia.
💪 The training aims at giving youth workers a toolkit on how to adapt to new inter-cultural environments and respond positively to challenges, through non-formal learning.
Main objectives :
-Develop a deeper understanding of the cultural differences and similarities held within European countries.
- Break down stereotypes
- Break beyond the constructs of culture being intrinsically linked to nationality
- Develop a sense of Pan-European identity or “Europeanness”.
✅ ERASMUS funding covers:
- Accommodation, food, refreshments, course materials
- Transportation from Manchester airport to Bala and up to 317 € for travel costs
- Visa costs up to 400 € for participants who are coming from / nationals of Macedonia

Thank you Tavo Europa and all our partners, including Consilium Development and Training for hosting this project. The results really blew us away and we have now submitted to deliver it again in 2019 - bigger and better than before! Watch this space. :)

Coming back form which focussed on the new and the it's sad to see this news - something we have been feeling in the UK for a while.
