Cardiff University Road Cycling Team was founded back in September of 2012. Since its creation the club has gone from strength, now boasting over 100 members. Riders in the club range from first-timers all the way through to seasoned racers! The club is now becoming a signature of the city of Cardiff. We’re back running our Wednesday track sessions between 2pm-5pm, and Friday track is back up and running every week between 5pm-6pm ⏰

Our 2023 Charity Ride to raise money for is here! On Saturday the 18th of November, these three heartthrobs will be hacking around the Brecon Beacons to try and raise 500 Great British Pounds.

Sunday Rides Return! We’ll be meeting at Cathays Lidl at 9am, and will have our usual three ride groups heading out, all with cafe stops!

Our normal Sunday rides will leave from Cathays LIDL at 9am on the 8th and will cover a variety of distances and speeds.

Social Sec, International Heartbreaker, Certified Forklift operator, and Jersey Easter stage race GC contender, Ollie really shows that variety is the spice of life. He’ll be bringing outrageous style, chat, and poor decisions to CURCT this year and will be responsible for a minimum of three bouts of alcohol poisoning (self-inflicted). Ollie will be our new and improved social sec, aiming to build on the (subjective) successes of last year.

Some say ( ) that bigger isn’t always better, but here at CURCT we firmly disagree. This is why for our secretary for next year we have potentially the longest and cutest cyclist the world has ever seen, the one and only Gabe Griffin. Urban planning and causals extraordinaire, Gabe has everything you would ever need covered for next year. Easily the most polite man in a bunch sprint EVER.

Maths isn’t my strong point and I’m not sure if it’s abel’s either but regardless and with much love we announce Charlie as treasurer for next year. An appetite for the gym, sharking freshers, stealing doors, and all-things Esme; nobody is getting through this wall of muscle and part-time HGV driving instructor to embezzle the club funds. I would trust this man with my money and so should you.

She may have been a fresher in 2010 and we’re not sure if she’ll ever leave uni, but she is still the most lethal pocket rocket CURCT has ever seen. Ripping it up on the track, road, trails, and in Heath Campus Ruby is a force to contend with, (even if in a skinsuit from before half the committee were born). We’re super stoked to have her onboard as our women’s captain for next season and can’t wait to have more woman join the team and show swansea what they can do…again 🤟🤟🤟

Our resident roadman and new MENS ROAD CAPTAIN Tommy C will be taking the reins for all things team selection, team deselection, and team re-selection. A busy agenda this year with Bucs and boozing will keep this roadman off the streets and firmly on the turbo (if daddy morgan allows). Egg lover and all things italian aficionado Stewart will be the anchor of our ship for the next and most successful ever season of CuRCt. (safety)
