It’s been a year! I’m grateful for lots. Too much to list. New home new country new life new friends.
Hope you can all think of the many things we can be grateful for through this joyful season.
On a different note, I am giving a pause to Welift as I focus on lecturing. I’ll come back to it one day as I still practise natural movement in my daily life and love helping people move better in their bodies.
Keep moving wherever you are.
Merry Christmas !

Busy busy summer means I spend even little time on here. Sharing some of what I’ve been up to.
Plantain pancakes
Beetroot and courgette fritters
Our daily walk on hillsides (my favourite thing to do with these two).
Not shown here is time spent with family in England which was precious too! Also lots of blackberry picking..
The weather is cooling down and it’s made it even more enjoyable walking! And sometimes carrying little people..
Hope you’ve all had a wonderful summer

Hot hot day means a cold rice bowl ! Short grain brown rice with teriyaki tofu and whatever veggie you fancy. Quite easy to put this together and easy to prep beforehand too .
A simple teriyaki sauce is a combo of hoisin sauce, soy sauce and some maple syrup (that’s what I use). And mix mix mix away.

I went for a run two weeks ago, the first time in nearly 5 years! (I sprained my ankle and haven’t been since) and it felt good! That skyline too was beautiful to look on my way back.
What have you done recently to help your body feel good?

This is quite sad and troubling. Granted I’m guilty of not knowing how to swim 🙈 but I’m working on all other skills when I can.
What do you think might happen to a group of people devoid of all these movements??? Food for thought

The one who made me a mama a second time turned one! Love him to bits! Such a cheerful happy person. Barefoot walking and eating rocks had to be part of our day 🙈, thankfully it was warm.

It’s so warm and all I want to eat is a sandwich. This kale smash and hummus sandwich is one of the tastiest thing I’ve eaten that’s green.
The filling is lots of kale, sundried tomatoes, hummus and honeyed carrots in between some sourdough bread.
Anna Jones is a fabulous cook and writer!
What do you eat when it’s hot? Bonus point if it contains more than two colours!

Monday.... are you having a slow start or bouncing into the week?
Slow start for me here thanks to this young person.
Hanging helps. Helps me get some energy back. Hanging isn’t just for children, it’s for everyone. Your whole body needs it... from your shoulders to your abdomen.
How do you bounce into the week??

Rustic? Yes. I didn’t have regular biscuit cutter so used a cup instead and my daughters hands. They still tasted delicious to me. Chocolate digestives. Now I need to make more.
These have eggs in them so not for vegans.
On the vegan vs vegan subject I definitely need to separate post on it. In the mean time I’ll just funk these into my hot chocolate.

Where did spring go?!
Although I love the heat of the sun I do enjoy a bit of cloud cover too ... more excuse for hot chocolate and biscuits (I’ve been trying my hand at homemade ones - pictures coming soon)
These hills have been my joy too. Lovely walk!
