Some fitness truths you should know:

➡️ The scale will never be the defining metric of progress.

➡️ The body you want is on the other side of getting uncomfortable.

➡️ It is going to take years to build that body you want.

➡️ Your leanest is not necessarily your happiest or healthiest. (Picture on the left I was always tired, cold and unsociable) (Picture on the right, I actually have friends.)

➡️ You won't always be motivated.

➡️ Lifting weights is the fountain of youth.

➡️ You're always dieting or simply not eating enough.

➡️ You're afraid to gain any kind of weight and allowing the scale to dictate everything.

➡️ You're more concerned about cardio and calories burned than lifting heavy weights.

➡️ You're going through the motions in the gym and not training with intensity.

➡️ You're impatient, inconsistent, all or nothing.

➡️ You can't commit to your goals and then bail when it gets hard.

➡️ You don't take enough rest days and your sleep pattern is rubbish.

There's a lot more reasons, but here are just some of the common ones.

One of the most frequent question I get asked 'what training should I be doing to lose weight?'

When it comes to fat loss, I like to focus on a full scale approach.

Here are some lists options that can help you with your fatloss goals

➡️ Increase Neat (your daily activity)
➡️ Regular cardio training is great for increasing your daily calories burn.
➡️ Strength training will help you build lean muscle, which will increase your metabolism and help you burn more calories at rest.
➡️ I'd also recommend adding in a few Hitt sessions per week if you enjoy them. For me, they are fun, you get a lot done in a short period of time.
➡️ You all heard this before, being on a calories deficit. It is impossible to lose weight without being on a calories deficit.

There are so many different training and activities that you can do, find something that you enjoy, focus on healthy, well balanced diet and keep moving.

This week has been one of the most craziest week 🙃 💥

Today is officially Jdgyms Cardiff 4th year birthday. It has been such an emotional day. I remember back in January four years ago working flyering leaflets and promotion work. Watching this empty spaces slowly building into this beautiful gym everyday. When it finally open, I was so excited and proud of the hardwork from the team.
I can honestly say this past four years, I have experienced some of the best times of my life.
I honestly believe at everyone can become More. I have witnessed in my own eyes seeing so many clients/members growing physically and mentally. And there is nothing makes me more happier at my job seeing people gaining more confidence using the gym, pain free and becoming happier.
Thank you for the love and supports for over the four years.
Your energy is what makes this gym so awesome.
I really appreciate you all from the bottom of my heart.
Let's keep improving and get stronger together 🙌
