You’ve always been the person I couldn’t wait to call when something good happened. Every exam passed, every achievement, every big moment - because I knew no one would ever be prouder of me than you.

Even now, you text me nearly every day to ask how I am and how your little granddaughter is. I’ve never once had to wonder how much you love me - I’ve felt it my whole life.

So having you take my arm and walk your Katie Cockle down the aisle was a moment I’ll never forget. I might be a wife and a mum now, but I’ll always be your little girl.
