As we turn towards Autumn (in the Northern Hemisphere), the time of Samhain approaches, traditionally a time for honouring the dead.
In the Death card of 'Sol Invictus' we see the ancient Irish chambered tomb of Newgrange, one of the most significant Neolithic burial grounds in Europe.
Around it we see the cycle of Taliesin, a Celtic story of death, transformation, and new life which reminds us of the cyclical nature of all things.

A real reading I gave today and an example of how you can use P*stis Sophia: the Goddess Tarot with Sol Invictus: the God Tarot, or indeed any majors-only deck alongside a full 78 card deck.
The querent had 4 major options before them. A majors-only deck is perfect for these big life decisions where big issues are involved. I drew a card for each option from P*stis Sophia. I then drew 3 further cards for each option from Sol Invictus. 78 card decks that include the minor arcana help to drill down into the issue and it’s facets. Using the two decks also gives the potential for a major arcana to come up more terms once, as it did here!
