Today was the culmination of the Leading horse/rider points league for 2026 which was won by local rider Alex McHattie with Redstone Concerto. They have been super consistent this year so congratulations from us all. Alex also picked up 3rd place with Rhodanites Rowenberry. 2nd place went to another local ride, Gail Smith riding Lachain Lass who was also very consistent this year.

That’s our last show of the year done! We’ve had a great year at our new venue Murray House Livery Yard & Competition Yard and I’d like the thank Peter and Leanne for the use of their amazing facility. We really are very lucky to have this on our doorstep.
Thank you to my co-organiser and course designer Neil Foster, our first aid, judges and our fabulous arena party. We couldn’t run these shows without their help.

A big thank you to everyone who has supported our shows this year, it’s so lovely to see new and old faces.
I will update the points list this week, there is one more show that counts towards the points and that is being held on the 26-27th of September. The Leading Rider award will be presented at this show. Stabling and entries can be booked for this via the Murray House website.

From all of us at R & N Shows, thank you again, I will update with 2027 dates once they are confirmed with BS.

When coming to Murray House please DO NOT follow the sat nav. From J42 of the M6 take the turning for Wetheral, ignoring the weight limit sign. Head into Cumwhinton and the show is on your right hand side.
