🚨 Club Update ⬇️

We have had a few people message the page recently about training and playing, so we’d like to push them towards other local clubs in and around Carlisle that are always looking for players:
Wetheral Cricket Club
Scotby Cricket Club
Rockcliffe Cricket Club

Today was an emotional day for everyone connected to the club as we said our final farewells to Don. A fitting send off for a brilliant man who will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

RIP Don 🦅

Everyone at Carleton Cricket Club is saddened to hear the news of the passing of our former player, captain, chairman and all round club legend, Don Renyard.

Don only stepped back from his role as club chairman at January’s AGM, but before then he was an ever present at the club as Carleton and before that when it was Hawksdale.

For those who’d like to pay their respect, Don’s funeral will be held on Friday 26th April at 2:20pm at Carlisle Crematorium.

Our thoughts are with Don’s wife Madge, who herself spent many a Saturday down at Parklands watching Carleton play, and his whole family.

RIP Don.

Update regarding the 2024 season ⬇️

🚨Carleton CC are recruiting for 2024 🚨

PYRAMID STRUCTURE 🔼 | A statement from Cumbria Cricket Board, Cumbria Cricket League, Eden Valley Cricket League and Westmorland Cricket League.

Last Saturday saw us travel with a depleted squad to and a big thanks must go to them for providing us with a couple of fielders to ensure the game went ahead. 👏🏼

A brilliant fielding effort saw Kirkby Stephen bowled out for 96, second week in a row we’ve bowled a team out for less than 100. Huge shout out to Dr. Jay for his 5fer, including 2 beautiful slower balls to knock stumps flying.

We lost 3 wickets early but and were looking solid and put 40 on for the 4th wicket. 3 more quick wickets fell but Ray and Al saw us over the line.

Onto Patterdale tomorrow for what should be another great game. 🦅

Yesterday saw Carleton start their EVCL campaign against Carlisle 3s - a 7 wicket win!

Great performances all round and no one could be faulted. Stand out moments were Jim & Dr. Jay both taking 2 wickets in an over, and Jim and Saiju having a 56 run opening partnership to set is on our way to victory.

Onto Kirkby Stephen next week! 🏏

Due to have been messed about with the original booking, we’ve had to make a late change to our indoor nets. Now on a Saturday morning @ Harraby Sport Campus.

All players welcome to take part. 🏏

As we start the countdown to the cricket season, Carleton CC are welcoming all players, new and old, to their pre-season training sessions @ Trinity School. These sessions will be from 6-7pm on Thursdays: 16th March - 6th April.
