We won! 🏆Carlisle Hockey Club took part in the News & Star / The Cumberland News ‘Win Kit for Kids’ competition and have won £1,000 towards new sports equipment for the club 🏑

A huge thank you to everyone who bought the News & Star, collected the daily tokens and passed them on to us - every token helped us reach our total. Thanks also to our friends at Stanwix News for collecting the tokens.

The funding will make a real difference to our junior section and the wider club, supporting players of all ages💙

💙 Senior Training
Senior Pitch Up & Play has now finished, and we've moved into pre-season squad training.

📅 Tuesday 11 August
• W3s: 6:00–7:30pm
• W1s & W2s: 7:30–9:00pm

📅 Wednesday 12 August
• Men's: 7:00–8:30pm

💛 Juniors
Junior Pitch Up & Play continues until Wednesday 26 August.

Training starts:
📅 Wednesday 9 September – Minis & Goalkeepers (6:00–7:00pm)
📅 Thursday 10 September – Juniors & Back to Hockey (6:00–7:30pm)

Starting at Lanercost early this morning, Aoife ran 47 miles in 12 hours (moving time)!

Congratulations Aoife, an amazing achievement and for a fantastic cause!

A few weeks ago, our fantastic Junior Umpires, Sam Wrightson and Hatty Wheatcroft, officiated at the North West In2 Hockey Championship and received brilliant feedback for their efforts 👏🏑

We’re especially proud that Sam has now been nominated to umpire at the In2 National Finals in Essex in a couple of weeks’ time - an amazing achievement! 🌟

We’re also proud of Imani Kasiera, Josie Denston and Polly Dobson, who represented a Carlisle-Wigton team in the competition 💙

A huge thank you to Joy Elliot-Bowman for her continued support of junior umpires across the North West - it’s hugely appreciated! 💫

And well done to Caoimhe McAllister from the club too, representing the girls’ team at the tournament 👏

Day 1 of the North West Counties U13 boys tournament complete.
A big thanks to all parents and players for making it a great day of hockey.
A win against Lancashire, a draw against Manchester, and a final game against each other that finished 2–2 and went to flicks, with Team 1 coming out on top capped an enjoyable day with clear improvement across every game.👏😊
