Our toddler and preschool lessons channel all that wonderful energy into confidence, swimming skills and plenty of fun.

Every child who learns to swim starts with one small step and this week we’re celebrating that with our very first Dinkies fundraising event.

Our “Climb a Mountain” themed lessons are going to be full of imagination, adventure and fun, but we’ll still be focusing on what matters most: building water confidence, developing swimming skills and teaching children how to stay safe in and around water.

This week is inspired by Stu’s upcoming Mount Kilimanjaro challenge for KidsOR, and we’d love for our Dinkies families to be part of the journey.

🌊 Life Saving Skills For Children 🌊

Swimming lessons are about so much more than learning strokes.

This week at Dinkies Swim School we’ll be focusing more closely on drowning prevention and practical water safety skills for all ages.

Our older swimmers will be practising using their voices confidently to shout for help, while younger children build confidence through floating and safe movement activities.

Every child deserves to feel safer around water 💙

⏰ Lessons are 30 minutes

🌊 Teaching More Than Swimming 🌊

Our lessons this week will include additional drowning prevention and water safety activities suitable for every age and ability.

Children will practise floating, confidence skills and shouting for help while learning important safety messages in a positive environment.

🚨 Drowning Prevention Week At Dinkies 🚨

This week our swimmers will be taking part in targeted water safety activities during lessons.

Children will practise important skills including:
✔️ Floating safely
✔️ Returning to the side
✔️ Staying calm in water
✔️ Calling for help
✔️ Understanding water safety rules
