NATIONALS 2026

The 2026 national championships season started with competing at the Sub Junior British championships in Guildford in an extremely stacked 74kg category. Our first full power national competition together and it went really well.
James finished in 6th position with a 557.5kg total (+17.5kg PB) that consisted of a 190kg squat (+15kg PB) (200kg went up but was judged 🔴⚪️🔴), 142.5kg bench press and 225kg deadlift (+5kg PB).

Both .hunt7 and competed at the British Masters Championships in Edinburgh.

Jan competed as a 76kg M4 and had a rather successful day. Not only did she achieve a first place finish, Jan managed to extend 3 out of 4 of her British Records and collect a 3rd place best female lifter overall with a 96.5kg squat, a 56kg bench press and a 117.5kg deadlift.
A special mention and a massive thank you must go to Ben at for looking after Jan and expertly handling her on the day when I couldn't make it due to family commitments. A fantastic coach and even better guy.

Finally, Brian competed in a very competitive 120+kg category. The lead up to the competition was very tough due to external factors coming at play and a couple of injuries showing up.
Despite all of this, Brian stayed focused and achieved a 6th place finish. The final lifts were a 237.5kg squat (+2.5kg PB), a 175kg bench press (narrowly missing 182.5kg ) and a 232.5kg deadlift.

I am very proud of the work that the team has put in over the last few blocks and am looking forward to seeing what the future holds.

Now that the literal dust has settled, it is time for a Cumbria Championships 2026 recap.
