The fitness industry has somehow convinced people that fat loss is complicated.
It’s not.
Your body needs a certain amount of energy each day to stay alive, move, think, breathe and function.
If you give it less energy than it needs, it has to get the rest from somewhere.
That “somewhere” is stored body fat.
That’s it.
No detox tea.
No fat burners.
No waist trainers.
No magic supplements.
No “metabolism boosting” coffee.
Just a calorie deficit.
The hard part isn’t understanding it.
The hard part is doing it consistently enough to see results.
Most people don’t fail because the plan doesn’t work.
They fail because they quit after one bad weekend.

Most people don’t need more ab exercises.

So I’ve put together 8 simple ab exercises you can do at home, in the gym, in a hotel room, or even on holiday.

Having strong abs and having visible abs are NOT the same thing.
You can have incredibly strong abs and still not see them.
Visible abs are largely a result of having a lower body fat percentage, while training your core helps build the muscle underneath.
In fact, research has shown that spot-reducing fat from a specific area (doing endless ab exercises to lose belly fat) doesn’t work. One study published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research found that 6 weeks of abdominal exercise alone had no significant effect on abdominal fat loss.
Translation:
❌ 500 crunches won’t melt belly fat.
✅ Consistent nutrition, daily movement, strength training and a calorie deficit are what reduce body fat.
So train your abs to get stronger.
Eat well to reveal them.

The amount of women who are going to step on the scales tomorrow and convince themselves they’ve “ruined everything” this weekend… 😩
Let’s be real for a second.
A few drinks in the sunshine.
A BBQ with family.
An ice cream with the kids.
A meal out with friends.
That’s not what causes fat gain overnight.
What you’re seeing on the scales is likely a combination of:

🍹 More alcohol
🧂 More salt
💧 More water retention
Not failure.

✨ 33.8lbs down. One year apart. One completely different woman. ✨
