This time of the year can be quite hard for some people to find their health and fitness mojo, but remember this time is short lived and by sticking to your usual Health and fitness routine you will find the darker days easier to get through.
Seasons are beautiful just like life everything is forever changing so we must look for the beauty in all seasons of the year, just like life you will have warmer days followed by those cold spells, be kind to yourself and stick to your routine to help keep yourself fit and well this winter.
Aim to get at least 7 hours of sleep a night.
Open your blinds during the day to let in lots of natural day light.
Eat a well balanced diet, remember the food you eat will have an effect on the way that you feel.
Lift weights at least twice a week.
Get outside for some walks in nature.
Curl up on the sofa with a good book.
Watch some good feel good festive films.
Remember how good you feel when you exercise daily and eat a good diet.
Avoid Binge drinking.

Well, my consistency formula for you guys is as always –
Prioritise your health and fitness just like you would do with your social life, you dedicate certain times each week to exercise, to prep your food, to go for walks.
Aim for 150 minutes a week of moderate physical activity or 75 minutes of intense cardio, aiming to lift weights twice a week.
Being consistent will lead to self-discipline, teach you and your family self-control, help build momentum and give you a sense of accountability.
A routine of consistency leads to a lifestyle of feeling Healthy, Happy fit and well, Saying no to fad training and yes to positive lifestyle changes.

What do you think of when you hear the word ‘wellbeing’?
It is easy to conjure images of tree hugging and yoga poses but it has a much wider meaning that that.
It actually refers to the state of being comfortable, healthy or happy1 , which is something we all strive for.
What this actually amounts to will vary according to each individual and what gives them contentment, but one thing we can all agree is that it is important to try and maintain a sense of wellbeing, for the good of our mental and physical health.
Here, we take a look at why looking after your own personal wellbeing is so important and how we can make a conscious effort to do this.

Emotional Wellbeing -
Your emotional wellbeing can be one of the most important aspects of self-care.
It is focused on how you are feeling within yourself and how you cope with everyday life.
This is not a static thing, as it can change frequently and at any time2. This might be due to things that happen to us or for no obvious reason at all.
It is important to remember that out mental health and well being will affect the way we feel about ourselves and others, as well as the way we handle everything that life throws at us, so we should be making this a priority.
When we focus on our own wellbeing, we can be prone to less extreme reactions to certain situations and can make calm and rational responses to things.
Feelings of stress and anxiety can be reduced3 and your mood can therefore be improved.
Relationships-
When we feel good in ourselves, it affects those around us too. We might be easier to live with or in a better place to support someone else who might need it.
The happier you are, the more you can give to a relationship, whether that is a romantic one, a family one or a friendship.
Physical Health - There are many different types of well being, and they are not all focused on the mind.
Your well being will also have an impact on your physical health, so you need to concentrate on looking after your body too.
