🍫 My little chocolate “treat”… although 100% cocoa might be stretching the definition of treat! 😂
Yep… 100% cocoa. No added sugar. And when they say Absolute Black, they really do mean it! 🤎😂
For me, eating well is about looking after my health, feeling good and giving my body the kind of food that makes me feel my best. 🌿💕
And I definitely don’t believe looking after yourself means you can’t enjoy a little something you fancy.
This is one of my choices when I want a bit of chocolate. 🍫
I’ll warn you, though… if you’re used to milk chocolate, your first bite of 100% cocoa might make your eyebrows meet your hairline! 😂 It’s SERIOUSLY dark.
But that’s actually part of why I enjoy it. I only need a small piece, I take my time over it, and it feels like a proper little moment to enjoy — especially with a nice cuppa. ☕🤎
For me, looking after my health isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about all those small, everyday choices that add up over time — eating well, moving my body, taking care of myself and still enjoying life along the way. ✨
Because feeling good in ourselves matters at every age. 💕
So tell me… what’s your little “treat” when you’re trying to look after yourself? 👇
And the big question… could YOU handle 100% cocoa? 😂🍫

💭 Facebook Memories got me thinking this week…
You know those Facebook Memories that suddenly pop up and take you straight back to a moment you'd almost forgotten about?
Well, one of mine appeared recently from a few years ago, on my 50th birthday.
It was a photo of me on an all-inclusive family holiday celebrating my birthday ☀️🥂❤️
And I looked at it and thought…
“Wow. I really was in the best shape of my life then.”
Now, I want to be clear — I'm not unhappy with where I am now.
This wasn't me looking at an old photo and beating myself up because I don't look exactly the same today.
Far from it.
It just got me thinking. 🤔
What was I doing differently back then?
Was I training differently?
Was I eating differently?
Was I moving more?
And then it hit me…
🏃♀️ SPRINTS!
I was regularly doing sprint intervals on the treadmill.
It was something I enjoyed, something that challenged me and something that made me feel really good.
And somewhere along the way, particularly over the last year, they've slipped out of my routine.
Not deliberately.
Life changes. Routines change. Priorities change.
And sometimes the things that used to make us feel good just quietly disappear without us really noticing.
So this week…
Guess what's back? 😂🏃♀️🔥
SPRINTS!
I've started putting sprint intervals back into my training and I'm actually quite excited to see how I get on.
Will I be sprinting like I did around my 50th?
We'll see! 😂
But this isn't really about trying to recreate an old photo or turn back the clock.
For me, it's about remembering something I was doing when I felt strong, fit, confident and really good in myself — and asking whether bringing some of that back might make a difference now.
And maybe there's something in this for you too. ❤️
Have a little look back.
Think about a time when you remember feeling really good in yourself.
What were you doing differently then?
Were you walking more? 🚶♀️
Going to classes? 💪
Strength training? 🏋️♀️
Eating a little better? 🥗
Getting outside more? 🌿
Making more time for yourself? ❤️
Sometimes we spend so much time looking for the next new thing that's going to make us feel better…
when actually, the answer might be something we used to do that we've simply stopped doing.
So that's my little experiment.
Sprints are back. 🏃♀️🔥
Let's see how this goes for me! 😂
And I'd love to know…
👇 What's ONE thing you used to do that made you feel good that you'd like to bring back into your life?

🥣 Soup for lunch… but make it a meal! 🌶️🍠
Today’s lunch is my sweet potato & chorizo soup, and this is exactly the sort of lunch I love — warm, tasty, quick and easy, but with a few simple tweaks it can also be really satisfying. 😋
I think soup sometimes gets treated as the “light option” at lunchtime, but it really doesn't have to be.
In fact, soup is a brilliant opportunity to get lots of good things into one bowl. 👇
🥕 Load it up with veggies.
This is such an easy way to add more vegetables to your day and get some of that all-important fibre in. Think carrots, peppers, onions, spinach, celery, courgette… whatever works with your soup.
And don't be frightened of leaving some texture in there either — I love a soup that actually feels like I'm eating something! 😂
🥣 Soup can be really satisfying.
All that lovely volume can help make a meal feel substantial, and research has found soup can help with feelings of fullness and appetite control.
💪 BUT… don't forget your protein!
This is the bit I think can easily get missed.
If lunch is going to take you all the way through to dinner, you want it to be a proper meal, not something that leaves you rummaging through the cupboards an hour later! 🙈
My sweet potato soup has a good amount of chorizo in it, which adds protein as well as loads of flavour. 🌶️
Depending on what’s in your soup and what you need, you could also add or have some extra protein alongside it — chicken, eggs, Greek yoghurt or cottage cheese.
The aim isn't to make lunch complicated.
Quite the opposite.
❤️ Veg + fibre + protein + something you genuinely enjoy eating.
And that’s another reason I love soup — it's QUICK.
Make a big batch and suddenly you've got lunch sorted for the next few days. Heat it up, add your extras and you're done. 🙌
Healthy eating doesn't always need elaborate recipes, endless ingredients or hours in the kitchen.
Sometimes it really can just be…
a very good bowl of soup. 🥣❤️
And this sweet potato & chorizo one definitely hit the spot!
👇 Are you a soup-for-lunch person? And what's your favourite combination?

Fuel your body with food that actually tastes good 🥑🐟🥗
Today’s lunch is exactly my kind of fitness fuel — fresh, colourful, filling and packed with different flavours and textures. 💚
A big bed of peppery rocket, topped with mackerel, creamy avocado, tomato, crunchy cucumber, grated cabbage and carrot, olives and h**p seeds, finished with a drizzle of olive oil. 🥒🍅🥕🫒
For me, a fitness and wellness lifestyle isn’t about making every meal complicated or obsessing over perfection. It’s about building meals from foods I enjoy, getting plenty of variety on the plate, and eating in a way that supports an active lifestyle while still feeling satisfying.
The mackerel brings protein and omega-3 fats, the avocado and olive oil add unsaturated fats, and all those colourful vegetables bring their own mix of fibre and nutrients. Then the h**p seeds add a little extra texture and goodness. 🌱
And most importantly… it tastes delicious. 😋
Healthy eating doesn’t have to mean a sad little salad. Give me a bowl piled high like this any day! 🙌🥗
What’s your favourite ingredient to add to a big, loaded salad? 👇

What did your breakfast tell your body this morning? 🍳🌿
I talk a lot about the importance of what we eat first thing in the morning — because breakfast can set the tone for how we feel for the next few hours.
For me, a good breakfast isn’t about counting calories or trying to eat as little as possible.
It’s about asking:
Will this actually keep me going?
A breakfast built around protein, fibre, healthy fats and whole foods can help you feel fuller and more satisfied — and may support a steadier blood sugar response too.
Think:
🍳 Eggs
🥑 Avocado
🐟 Smoked salmon
🥓 Good-quality bacon with eggs and vegetables
🥛 Full-fat Greek yoghurt with berries, nuts and seeds
🌱 Chia seeds or ground flaxseed
🥬 Spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes or other non-starchy vegetables
🥜 Nuts and nut butters
Compare that with starting the morning with:
🥣 A bowl of sugary cereal
🍞 Toast with jam
🥐 A pastry
🧃 Fruit juice
☕ Or just grabbing a coffee and calling it breakfast.
These foods aren't automatically “bad”.
It’s the pattern that matters.
A predominantly refined-carbohydrate breakfast without much protein, fibre or fat may leave you feeling hungry again sooner — and for some people, it can mean bigger swings in blood glucose followed by that familiar mid-morning hunt for something else to eat.
That’s why I prefer to build breakfast around protein first.
Then add fibre from vegetables, berries, nuts or seeds, plus some healthy fats.
And keep the refined carbohydrates and added sugars lower.
It doesn't need to be complicated.
Instead of cereal ➡️ Greek yoghurt + berries + walnuts + chia seeds
Instead of toast and jam ➡️ Eggs + avocado + tomatoes
Instead of a pastry ➡️ An omelette with cheese, mushrooms and spinach
Instead of juice ➡️ Water, tea or coffee alongside a proper breakfast
Instead of coffee alone ➡️ Add something protein-rich — even two boiled eggs or some Greek yoghurt if you're short on time.
Small changes, but they can make breakfast much more satisfying. 🌿
And when breakfast actually satisfies you?
You may find you're not thinking about biscuits at 10:30am…
You're not desperately searching for something sweet…
And you're not arriving at lunchtime absolutely ravenous.
This is one of the reasons I'm such a fan of a lower-carb approach.
Not “no carbs”.
Not fearing food.
Not perfection.
Just prioritising protein, nourishing whole foods and lower-sugar choices that help you feel satisfied and support your health. 💚
Tomorrow morning, take a look at your breakfast and ask:
Where's my protein?
Where's my fibre?
And will this genuinely keep me satisfied?
Your breakfast doesn't need to be perfect.
It just needs to work better for you. 🌱
What did you have for breakfast this morning? 👇

Healthy eating isn't about being perfect—it's about making choices that leave you feeling nourished, satisfied, and energised. 💚
One of the biggest myths about weight loss is that you have to give up foods you love.
You don't.
It's about building balanced meals that support your goals while still being full of flavour.
Tonight's plate includes:
🍔 Homemade burgers
🥬 Rocket
🫒 Olives
🌶️ Homemade kimchi
Simple, delicious, and packed with goodness.
The protein helps keep me feeling fuller for longer, while the fresh vegetables and fermented kimchi add fibre, nutrients, and plenty of flavour.
Remember, lasting weight loss isn't about following the latest fad diet. It's about creating healthy habits you can enjoy for life.
Progress isn't made by being perfect—it's made by making one good choice after another.
What's your favourite healthy twist on a classic meal? I'd love to hear your ideas in the comments! 👇💚

Your Body Reflects What You Do Most 🌿
I’ve been thinking about this lately:
Our body reflects what we do most — not what we do occasionally.
One healthy meal won’t completely change us.
One workout won’t transform us.
One early night won’t undo weeks of exhaustion.
But the same is true the other way around. ❤️
One takeaway won’t ruin our health.
One missed workout doesn’t mean we’ve failed.
One difficult day doesn’t erase all the good things we’ve been doing.
Our bodies respond to our patterns.
The way we move most days. 🚶
The way we nourish ourselves. 🥗
The amount of rest we give ourselves. 😴
How much time we spend sitting versus moving.
How we manage stress and make space to recover. 🌱
It’s easy to focus on the occasional big effort, but often it’s the small things we repeat quietly, day after day, that make the biggest difference.
And I find that reassuring.
Because being healthier doesn’t have to mean suddenly becoming a completely different person or doing everything perfectly.
Sometimes it simply means asking:
“What am I doing most?”
And if the answer isn’t supporting how I want to feel, maybe I don’t need a complete overhaul.
Maybe I just need to change one small thing — and repeat it. 💚
Your body is listening to the habits you practise most often.
So give it something good to remember. 🌿✨
What’s one small healthy habit you’d like to do more consistently?
16/08/2026
One of the simplest things you can do for your health? Walk more. 🚶♀️🌿
It doesn’t have to be a workout.
It doesn’t have to be an hour.
And it definitely doesn’t have to be complicated.
Just look for opportunities to move more throughout your day.
🚶♀️ 10 minutes after lunch
🐕 An extra loop with the dog
📞 Walk while you’re on the phone
☕ Grab a coffee and take it with you
🌿 Take a short walk after dinner
❤️ Invite a friend and get some social connection too
Those little walks might not feel like much…
but they add up.
More movement. Less sitting. More fresh air. And a simple habit you can actually stick to.
Try starting with just 5–10 minutes at a time.
Your body was designed to move.
Give it more opportunities to do exactly that. 💚
Who’s joining you for a walk this week? 👇
14/08/2026
Your body is smarter than you think. 🌿
Cravings can feel incredibly powerful.
That sudden need for chocolate. 🍫
Something sweet after dinner.
A packet of crisps in the afternoon.
Or that moment when bread, biscuits or cake seem to be calling your name! 😅
We’re often told we simply need more willpower.
But rather than immediately fighting a craving, I prefer to get curious about it.
What might my body actually need right now?
Am I genuinely hungry?
Have I eaten enough protein today?
Did my last meal actually keep me satisfied?
Am I tired, stressed or simply eating out of habit?
And this is where making a few lower-carb swaps can really help.
Instead of automatically reaching for the high-carb or sugary option, try giving your body something more nourishing and satisfying:
🍫 Craving chocolate?
Try a couple of squares of high-cocoa dark chocolate with a small handful of Brazil nuts, almonds or walnuts.
🍟 Craving crisps or something crunchy?
Try a small portion of nuts, olives, cheese, cucumber with a creamy dip, or roasted seeds.
🍰 Want something sweet?
Try full-fat Greek yoghurt with a few berries, chia seeds and cinnamon.
🍞 Craving bread or toast?
Try eggs with avocado, smoked salmon with cream cheese and cucumber, or a low-carb alternative that works for you.
🍪 Looking for an afternoon biscuit?
Try a boiled egg, a little cheese, Greek yoghurt or a small handful of nuts instead.
🍨 Fancy dessert after dinner?
Try berries with Greek yoghurt, chia pudding made without added sugar, or a couple of squares of dark chocolate.
The point isn’t that you can never have the chocolate, crisps or cake.
It’s about recognising that you have choices.
For me, keeping things lower carb means focusing more on protein, healthy fats, vegetables and whole foods that help make meals satisfying — rather than constantly riding the cycle of reaching for sugary and highly refined foods.
And sometimes the best “swap” isn’t another food at all.
Sometimes it’s a glass of water. 💧
A cup of tea. ☕
A walk outside. 🚶♀️
An earlier night. 😴
Or simply recognising that you’re stressed rather than hungry.
So next time a craving hits, don’t automatically think:
“I have no willpower.”
Pause and ask:
“What do I actually need right now — and is there a lower-carb choice that will leave me feeling better afterwards?” 🌿💚
Small swaps.
Better awareness.
Healthier habits.
That’s where lasting change begins.
