Carnoustie Ladies’ Club Champion final was held on Sunday 30th August 2026. This year’s finalists were Wendy Edwards and Susan Strachan.
Here is a short report from Vice Captain, Lorraine Robertson, who was match referee!
Many congratulations to Wendy on winning the Ramsay Vases in the Ladies’ Championship Final winning by 6 and 5 today in what finished a rather wet morning. Susan was runner-up winning the Mrs CJ Low Rosebowl.
It would seem that quite a few bunkers had Susan’s name on them and Marlene got plenty exercise raking them!
A very warm welcome of hot tea and cake was waiting for us back at the club. Thank you to Jean and Pat.
And, on my behalf, as match secretary (I couldn’t be there as I was at a family christening in England), a huge thank you to everyone who played in the qualifying rounds, the members who supported the finalists on the day, Lorraine and Marlene for doing a great support team job and to Jean McNicoll and Pat Green for the welcome tea and cake in the clubhouse after.
Congratulations to both Wendy and Susan for reaching the final. And well done to Wendy for becoming our champion for 2025-26!

Today’s game at Panmure: it was a really lovely sunny day; a lovely course....mostly... with the usual hazards.
Panmure came first with 39 points. Carnoustie Ladies were second with 31 and Blairgowrie with 23. Individual winner was Ruth from Panmure. Xx

Well done to all participants and, of course, the Caledonia Club ladies who won!
Today was the annual Ladies Tri-Club competition where teams from The Caledonia Club, The Carnoustie Club and the Ladies’ Club play for the Tri-Club trophy. The winners for the eighth year in a row, in a very close competition, by only two points, are the Caledonia! Congratulations to the winning team!

Our annual captain v vice captain match was played this afternoon on the Burnside course. It was blowing a hooley but still the intrepid players stuck in and played well. They were all very keen to get back to the clubhouse for a delicious buffet from the local deli . The desserts were donated by club members, Fiona Joss and Jean McNicoll: yummy indeed.
The captain’s team were victorious (in red in the photos!)
Thank you to everyone who made the event such a success.
