Mid and East Antrim press release of our Shore to Oar programme

Shore to Oar finished 2 weeks ago but our S2O'ers are still raring to get out. Here are 3 of our graduates out for a row at 9am on a Sunday morning. More are out later on today

Today saw the completion of our Shore to Oar programme. The majority of our ShoretoOarer'ers were able to join us and get out on the water as a novice 4. We've seen a huge difference in the women over the last month with benefits from fitness, better mental health, new friends, and a new found hobby. It was a pleasure taking these women through the course

We got our final rowers out for their second coached session before they all row together. Crystal and Elaine had a great evening and weren't put off by the weather. Conditions in the bay were calm, but we finished in torrential rain, but still enjoyed it. Now just waiting for the final session on Sunday

Last night was our final session of Ergs and Circuits for our Shore"Oar'ers. Jason gave every one a distance test over 2 minutes and everyone had improved - some by up to 20% increase in distance rowed over 4 weeks.
Everyone has enjoyed the experience with most now converted to rowing. Keep rowing
