Saturdays Result ⚽

A 4-1 loss at home to Holt United FC. A marked improvement on the display in the away game. Some lapses in concentration saw us concede soft goals but we take the positives out of the performance.

Man of the match this week goes to Todd who was solid at left back and looked composed on the ball.

RESULT

In a close contest we were edged out of the Mummery Cup. A much better display from our new look side (despite some familiar faces returning) who controlled the game for large parts and played some good football. With position changes across the team due to unavailability, the boys were unlucky to come away on the wrong end of the result after putting in a battling display.

The young lads playing their first season with us are growing in confidence weekly and we are excited about the shape the team is taking after a minor rebuild this summer.

Special mention from the gaffer was made to Lee Lester , stepping into CM and having a good game but MOTM goes to the returning twin Ben Carlton who looked like he'd never been away and grabbed our goal! As you can see he is delighted to be out of retirement!
