🌿 UNDERSTANDING YOUR BODY THROUGH YOGA 🌿
Nervous System Series – Week 4: Rest, Repair & Resilience
Over the last few weeks, we’ve explored how our nervous system communicates with the body, the role of the vagus nerve, and why we sometimes hold onto tension.
This week we bring it all together with Rest, Repair & Resilience. 💚
But this isn’t simply about learning how to “calm down”.
A healthy nervous system needs activation too. We need energy to move, concentrate, respond to challenges and get through everyday life. Resilience isn’t about staying calm all the time – it’s about our ability to respond, adapt and find our way back afterwards.
During this 90-minute Gentle Hatha class we’ll explore:
🌿 Movement followed by moments of stillness
🌿 How the body responds when effort ends
🌿 Breathwork to support rest and recovery
🌿 The difference between activation and recovery
🌿 A longer guided relaxation to finish our practice
We’ll even deliberately create a little activation through movement and balance, then pause and notice what the body does when the demand disappears.
No forcing ourselves to relax.
No trying to make the nervous system behave.
Just movement, breath, curiosity – and giving the body the opportunity to do what it already knows how to do. 💚
