Today, the unit has received their annual assessment award for 2025, a great result for the unit to be award a pennant for the 2025 UR/RNP Year.

We would like to thank all those cadets & Volunteers past and present for their hard work and attention in being awarded this.

The sea cadet experience, although rewarding, has lots of behind the scenes work required by the volunteers of Castleford unit, this is testament to their continued and past efforts.

The unit is currently recruiting new cadets, so if you are interested, please reach out.

It's going to be another warm one tomorrow.

Tomorrow is going to be a non-uniform night, please bring a sun hat and water bottle. Please ensure shoulders are covered and shorts come to mid-thigh.

On Saturday we joined cadets from Wakefield Sea Cadets & Dewsbury & District Sea Cadets for a great day at Pontefract Racecourse to celebrate Armed Forces Day

Fridays - back to it.

The unit reopened on Friday evenings last night, after being some time of just parading on a Monday, we were ready.

A great night enjoyed by all learning valuable core training modules.

Sessions covered;

- colours routine & who’s who
- Adventure Training
- Times Watches and Bells
- what’s next for those getting close to ageing out
