NEW PAVILION UPDATE 🧱

The walls and internal walls are now very nearly complete. We will shortly be starting to begin the roof!

This weekend will be our 1’s last fixture of the season, they host Market Deeping Cricket Club 2’s at Port Lane. Rain or shine the bar will be open. 🍻

RESULTS

The men’s 1’s travelled to Billingborough, batting first, the bulk of the runs came from former captain Reece Smith-York and current captain Stuart Dockerill, both making half centuries.
Bowling, everyone picked up wickets, Smith-York the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets.
Castor winning by 70 runs.

The second team hosted Stamford, unfortunately it was a one sided contest, Castor being shot out for 92 and losing by 10 wickets.
Great effort from the team which consisted of 4 juniors and the evergreen Norman Gray.

The Women’s team finished their campaign against Newborough, unfortunately it ended in defeat losing by 15 runs.
Clara Pederson top scoring with 22 and taking 2 wickets.

Our Women’s season has come to a close!

First season playing soft ball cricket, the team finished 4th in the league and runners up in the cup competition. What a great achievement for all who have played.

RESULTS

Disappointing Saturday for the club, as both teams go down in defeat.

The 1’s travelled to top of the table Long Sutton, being asked to bat first the Castor 10 didn’t last long.
Captain reliable Stuart Dockerill top scoring with 23.
A few wickets helped to make the day not a complete disaster,
Castor losing by 5 wickets.

The 2’s also fielding 10, travelled to Heckington and were undone by a 1 man show.
Castor loanees Dylan Rathour and Tom Holman picking up wickets, as well did Hattie Fisher.
A couple of starts in the run chase but the target was well out of reach.
Castor losing by 74 runs.

A week off now and relax.
