Congratulations to our U15 team for becoming Tri-County Champions yesterday 🏆👏🎉🏏

Match Reports
Game 1 vs Beaminster
Opening was Ryan patch and Oliver Scott retiring at 30 runs. The batting was on point and saw chard hit 186/5 after 100 balls

In reply beaminster opened with a strong pair but chard made it look easy in the field and some excellent keeping from Skye kept those runs to singles. Tight bowling and fielding saw a comfortable win with Beaminster finishing over 100 runs adrift.

Chard vs seaton we lost the toss and they elected to bat. They started strong but the first wicket came
In the 6th over keeping the runs down with opening bowlers Tom and Izzy. Superb fielding secured several run outs, seeing them all out for 130 after the full 20 overs .
Chard came out to bat opening was Ryan and Daniel (seaton player) some
Absolutely superb shots by both saw retirements from Ryan, Theo and Daniel. Chard finished on 132 after 19 overs securing the win

They are crowned tri county champions 2026

Beyond proud of them and was noted about the atmosphere on the field and how the banter you have is commendable and shows what a team you have become.

We are very excited to host the Mid Wessex League Finals Day! 🎉

Sunday 13th September, cricket action from 11am.

The Pheasants' Nest Bar and The Foraging Pheasant Café will be open for refreshments all day.

Huge congratulations tonight for two Chard CC Players, Jon Dalwood and Mark Tilley who played brilliantly in the Somerset Championship 50+ semi final to beat Wales and secure a place in the final against Yorkshire next Sunday.
Jon bowled 9-0-2-45 and Mark 1-0-3-1 and saw Wales hit a total of 178.

A Chard CC salute for Mr Parsons senior who replied with an impenetrable 80, supported with a crucial 21 from Mark and a strong 32 from Jon took Somerset over the line with one over to spare.

Brilliant to watch.. good luck in the final chaps. 🏏

What a brilliant evening last night celebrating our fantastic youth section.
Medals for all and Awards were presented by our President Nick White, and Chair Ellie Dalwood.

Our wonderful Coaches spoke with real pride about each of the teams, their hard work, progress and kindness to each other were themes that all featured throughout.

Batter of the season, Bowler of the season, most improved player, Managers Players and Players Player Awards were given out for every team. Congratulations to all our Award winners this year, very well deserved. 👏👏👏

Thanks to our Youth Lead Lynda Northover for keeping the season running so smoothly and for organising the awards evening.

Thanks also to Mums and Dad's, for all their support, transport, kit washing and organisation on Spond!

That's a wrap for 2026 and we can't wait to do it all again next year! 🏏

Congratulations to everyone who was crowned POW this season! 👏👏👏

There were so many other fantastic performances over the summer and some weeks we could probably have had several POW!

Everyone on this list enjoyed £10 to spend at the Pheasants' Nest Bar. 🍺

Thank you everyone who came and had a party. Thanks to everyone worked hard before and on the night to get a great gig on.

🏏🌞 Sunshine on a rainy day 🌞🏏

After 14 fantastic weeks Chard Accessibility Cricket finished the season with their annual match and presentation evening this week.

Following recent weeks of powder paint cricket, sports day and fancy dress week, the group were able to show off all their skills in the final match.

For the record Team ‘9 to 5’ took the honours beating Team Dolly by 27 runs. After the game, everyone received medals and special congratulations to Amy, Callum and Archie for winning this year’s trophies.

The match was followed with lots of singing and dancing in the bar. A memorable end to a fantastic season.
Special thanks to everyone who has helped and supported us this year. The group continues to grow and thrive and if anyone is interested in joining us next year, please contact the club. We are always looking to welcome more players.
