We might have found the fastest, highest and wettest club tee shirt so far this summer. This one was on Stealth at Thorpe Park and then got soaked on the Tidal Wave ride 😆🤣🤣 keep those photos coming 👍
Whilst we look back and celebrate all of our junior ‘Judoka of the Week’ award winners from this past year, we also look forward to the upcoming Judo Awards Night on Saturday 10 October 🏆

Some of the greatest things about judo are the people you meet, the friendships you make and the journeys you take alongside other judoka.
So it was fantastic for Ed to finally catch up with Graham Hockley, who also started his judo career at Elliott’s Judo Club in Chatham over four decades ago and who is also still doing judo but in the USA as he moved there a number of years ago.
Graham took Gold again at this years US Open and the photos below show Ed and Graham sharing a podium at this years US Open event, and also at one of the fist events they were in together back in 1979 when they were part of the Medway Squad for the Kent Festival of Sport

It was a tough and frustrating day for Ed at the US Open Judo Championships in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, fighting up a weight at -73 kilos and taking a Bronze medal at this large international event
But still a great experience and a great event to attend

It was with mixed emotions that we said good bye to these two super judoka on our last training night. By now both will have touched down in Perth, Australia to begin a new and exciting life in ‘The Land DownUnder’
We wish them and their family all the very best and hope that they manage to keep up their judo in their new home 🤞
Who knows, maybe at a future Commonwealth Games we could even see them competing for Australia 🇦🇺
