Another fantastic week of diving and we have managed to raise £628.00 from our quiz nights at the rose and crown in Writtle special mention to the regular team Ian and Karen , Jeremy and Peggy along with me and Sandra together with donations from members for the ST Abbs lifeboat and we witnessed a “shout” to go to paddle boarders in distress . Always great to meet up with the local St Abbs and just great diving . # harveyshobbies
This week we welcomed to the station Chelmsford BSAC dive club who were up diving with Dive St Abbs and 'Shore Diver' (run by Paul one of our helms) to have a look round the lifeboat and meet some of the crew. They are a very knowledgeable bunch and asked some great questions.
We were presented with a cheque from their fundraising quiz nights, we are very grateful for all your support.

Second of our day dives with out of sovereign harbour in Eastbourne, first dive was the SS Broderick , in a respectable 26M mostly broken up and the vizz was a bit limited, but fantastic calm conditions and great briefing from the skipper Mike, we then had a nice drift outside Eastbourne and managed to see a few fish . Thanks to Ade for being Danger Mouse for the day and well done to Nathan on dome depth progression. Photos credit to Ade and drift somewhat limited to Dom and Pirateminion video production. And as always a dirty pint and briefing afterwards.

Our loyal CCT volunteers were out on the Navigation again last Saturday dealing with the emerging Pennywort that, if left unchecked, will soon grow into large rafts. A cheerful group and a successful work party. Read all about it here: https://tinyurl.com/cctworkparty11April2026
